It was absolutely packed with people in the Market hall during Derby Festè - great to see so many people came out to enjoy it with their friends and families.

Derby city centre was a busy place to be on Saturday 26 September, as Festé brought dance, circus, street theatre and a healthy amount of weirdness to its streets and squares. We headed down for a day that took us from independent artists in the Market Hall to a performer walking on a giant globe, before finishing beneath an enormous artificial intelligence head at Cathedral Green. With free performances spread across the centre, Derby Festé 2026 gave people plenty of reasons to stick around long after the shopping was done.

It's been a while, so I thought it was time to reintroduce myself.

I'm Sarah and after four years working as a curator in a museum, I'm returning to my first loves...fashion and textile design.

I've restarted my design practice and have a lovely new studio at Banks Mill in Derby.

Its wonderful to get back to doing what I love.
Designing, making, experimenting and seeing where my imagination takes me.

I'm looking forward to sharing what I've been working on and what comes next.
