World of Mixology | Ring Zhao • Bar Choice (Shenzhen & Shanghai) Ring Zhao is a mixologist, brand founder, and pioneer in tea cocktail innovation based in Shenzhen and Shanghai. She is the founder behind Bar Choice, recognized as one of 2026 Tatler’s Best 30 Bars, Mainland China. Combining a background in food chemistry with traditional culture, Ring approaches tea cocktails with scientific precision. Rather than simple infusions, she collaborates with Master Inheritors of Intangible Cultural Heritage—studying terroir, soil, and tea processing to translate age-old craftsmanship into modern flavor applications. Her vision extends beyond the glass to sustainability and local agriculture. Supporting the Heirloom Seed Conservation Initiative and smallholder farmers, Ring created a circular zero-waste model by upcycling off-season tea shoots into freeze-dried powder, generating year-round income for tea growers. Her tea cocktail expertise has earned top international recognition, including Bacardi Legacy Champion, Altos Tahona Society World Finalist, Hennessy My Way Global Top 10, and a spot among WINWSA’s Top 50 Women in Drink Business Worldwide. Merging tea science with agricultural roots, Ring Zhao continues to elevate native Chinese ingredients and redefine tea culture in the modern cocktail world.

Up 50 meters in the sky, we hosted an unforgettable Tea Ceremony & Dessert Pairing! ☁️✨ Originally planned for the top deck at Dinner in the Sky Macau, we had to pivot to the elegant Lan Bar for the first day due to the typhoon. But honestly? It was a blessing in disguise. Moving indoors allowed for a more intimate setting where guests could get up close and personal with the creators behind the flavors. 🍵🍰 Huge shoutout to Ring Zhao, founder of Bar Choice, for flying in to share her incredible journey of crafting intangible cultural heritage tea-based cocktails. Bringing together her innovative tea mixology and my dessert creations was a dream collaboration. 💡 It was the perfect way to launch our very first food-and-tea pairing experience and celebrate the 1st anniversary of Dinner in the Sky Macau. A massive thank you to the entire team and everyone who joined us! ❤️ @barchoice_teabar @ringzhao2024 @cafebonbonbychefbetty @dinnerinthesky_mo #BarChoice #RingZhao #BettyFung #CafeBonbon #TeaCeremonyAndDessertPairing

#LIVARYAfterHours 🍵🍸 เมื่อคืนที่ Lennon’s มี Matcha After Dark งาน Guest Shift ที่ชวน Ring Zhao จาก Bar Choice, Shenzhen และ Seven Yi จาก Suki Salon, Taipei มาเล่าเรื่อง Matcha และ Asian Tea ผ่านค็อกเทลในแบบของตัวเอง .
