Smart, loving, all around dog! 🩷Addy - collie mix. Very smart. Timid with some men and will need time and patience to come around. 🩵Flint - PUPPY - 6 month collie mix. the cutest thing! Super friendly and kid friendly! 🩷Buttercup - PUPPY - very scared in the shelter, just sits and shakes 💔 🩷Coco - PUPPY - very scared, but longs for human affection. Very submissive. Will be a wonderful dog once she decompresses. 🩵Shadow - 1-2 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. He LIVES to play ball. He sits on command and is dog and kid friendly. Treat motivated! 🩵Rocko - SENIOR - abandoned by his owner. Highly treat motivated and sweet. Neutered. Has several growths that need to be seen by a vet. 🩷Hattie - less than 1 year old. 🖤LOWELL🖤 ID 119421 💔RESCUE OR FOSTER NEEDED💔 📍 Gwinnett Animal Shelter Lawrenceville, GA FROM THE SHELTER RESCUE OFFICE 9/15/26: “This plea is for Lowell, a sweet and gentle 4-year-old, 15.2-lb male Terrier mix who was found on Lester Road in Lawrenceville, GA, on September 3rd. Unfortunately, he had no microchip or owner information. Lowell is an intact male currently dealing with a significant chronic skin condition that has left him uncomfortable and in need of ongoing care. Lowell’s Medical Needs -Widespread hair loss, scabby skin, and itching. -His ears were inflamed and filled with yellow/gray debris but are improving with treatment. -Skin scrape was negative. -Received Bravecto for parasite protection. -Completed Cephalexin treatment (antibiotic). -His severely overgrown nails have been trimmed. -Veterinarians recommend waiting to neuter him until his skin improves. -A low-dose Prednisone was prescribed to help with inflammation and itching. -A weekly medicated bath, if possible, is also recommended. 🐾 Rescue or Foster Needed Lowell would greatly benefit from a rescue or foster-to-adopt home where he can receive the consistency, patience, and medical care needed to get his skin healthy and comfortable. He has already made progress with treatment, and with continued care and some TLC, we hope to see his hair and skin improve so he can eventually be neutered and find his forever home. We are seeking a rescue or foster partner who can help Lowell continue his medical care and provide him with the safe, loving environment he deserves. If you’re able to help Lowell, please contact us as soon as possible. 🚨 THEY’RE GROWING UP IN A SHELTER — THEY SHOULD BE GROWING UP IN HOMES 🚨 Misty (in this video) and her sister Kristy are adorable Pointer/Lab puppies who are only 3–5 months old, and instead of learning what it’s like to have a family, they’re spending their puppyhood behind shelter walls. 💔 They are everything puppies should be — happy, loving, adorable and DOG FRIENDLY. They’re tiny little things at only about 12 lbs each, already spayed, up to date on rabies, and ready to start their lives. Rockdale is WAY OVER CAPACITY, and tomorrow is critical. ANY DOG OUT SAVES A LIFE‼️ These babies may not have the biggest red “URGENT” label attached to them yet, but EVERY DOG WHO LEAVES TOMORROW HELPS SAVE A LIFE. Every empty kennel creates space. Every adoption, foster, or rescue pull can give another dog more time. These 2 medical dogs have a deadline 9/21 at 5 PM ❤️‍🩹 Let’s not add their names to the euthanized list 🌈 THEY ARE RESCUE ONLY ⚠️ ❤️ CAPRISUN, 5 Y/O, 51 lb Pit Bull Mix. ❤️ Caprisun is currently unable to stand or walk on his hind legs. His mobility issue appears to be chronic, and veterinarians have documented: ➡️ Significant muscle loss in both hind legs. ➡️ Abrasions and scarring on the outside of both ankles from dragging himself – which is a able to do pretty well to get himself around. ➡️ No deep pain sensation and abnormal nerve responses in both hind legs. ➡️ X-rays showing an abnormal disc space at L5-L6, with suspected intervertebral disc disease (IVDD). ➡️ Moderate dental tartar and worn teeth. ➡️ Normal heart and lung sounds. ❤️ Caprisun needs a rescue partner willing to pursue the diagnostics and supportive care necessary to understand his condition and give him the best quality of life possible. ❤️ He has received his first vaccines and will receive his rabies vaccine and microchip before leaving the shelter. This plea is for Jasper, a 2-year-old, 18lb male Terrier mix who was recently found injured by the side of Collins Hill Road in Lawrenceville, GA on September 16th. Unfortunately, we currently have no microchip or owner information for him. Jasper was initially evaluated at a local veterinary hospital, where he received pain medication, including Meloxicam and Hydromorphone. Radiographs were obtained and later reviewed by our veterinary team, confirming his multiple pelvic fractures. Jasper has multiple pelvic fractures, including fractures to: - Left ilium - Left and right pubic bone/ramus - Body of the pubic bone - Left and right ischium He is currently lame and non-weight bearing and will need continued pain management, specialized veterinary care, and rehabilitation. Our vet has recommended that Jasper be started on oral pain medication and that he leave the shelter for rescue placement as soon as possible so he can receive the specialized care and recovery time he needs. Jasper has been cautiously handled by veterinary staff, but he is understandably frightened and uncomfortable. He is not showing the best side of himself right now—and we believe pain and fear are playing a major role. Once he is out of the stressful shelter environment and receiving appropriate pain control, we hope to see a different side of this little guy. 💙 Jasper needs someone willing to see past his current condition and give him a chance. Caprisun was found injured on Arcado Road in Lilburn, GA, on September 15th. He had no microchip and no owner information could be located. Despite being unable to walk on his back legs, Caprisun has been nothing but loving and cooperative. He is friendly, easy to examine, and has shown everyone caring for him that he is a special boy who simply needs someone willing to give him a chance. ❤️ Caprisun Needs a Rescue by 5 PM Monday, September 21 Caprisun is currently unable to stand or walk on his hind legs. 🚨 11 DOGS. ONE DEADLINE. 🚨 💔 THIS FRIDAY, 9/18 BY 2 PM 💔 📍 Gwinnett Animal Shelter Lawrenceville, GA We need to be honest: WE HAVE TO DO BETTER. For months, we’ve tried to be proactive. We’ve shared dogs before they became long-timers, boosted posts, and spent HUNDREDS of dollars of our own money sponsoring posts so these dogs could reach more people. We constantly ask for shares, engagement, fosters, adopters & rescues. And yet here we are: 11 dogs facing a deadline on ONE DATE — the largest number we’ve seen at once. How are we going backwards? How are we progressing as a community or as humans? We aren’t. These dogs are being failed by the very community they come from. 💔 The shelter is at CRITICAL CAPACITY. Recently, there were ZERO open kennels on the adoption floor for big dogs in Pods 1–4. We used to see 10–20+ open kennels. Even if one of these 11 isn’t right for you, another shelter dog might be.
