Boomer helping Boomer! Yes-you read that right. These dogs are both named Boomer and needed training for their varying reactivity. However Boomer (lab mix) is now solid and is helping Boomer (bully) be comfortable with other dogs being around him! This was where we landed with both Boomers, calmly coexisting.
Boomer’s (bully) owner has been doing a fantastic job maintaining his training on a 1-1 scale. From here on out we can begin doing more exposure with different helper dogs to chip away at Boomer’s (bully) baggage at feeling the need to be dominant or emotionally overwhelmed while out and about! More great things to come from this team👏🏻🐶
