When I decided to become an acupuncturist, my dream was always to offer care at the intersection of sound and body/mind support - intertwining my world as a musician and sound artist with my desire to provide physical and emotional ease for loved ones in sensitive bodies. My intent for creating music has always been to provide healing support and a safe space for people to process the often hard and abject experience of living in a body at this time in the world. ‘Pattern Diagnosis’ is a joining of my two worlds, melting them into one and offering a sonic companion for healing, mutual care work, repair, grieving, celebrating, connecting, thinking, and loving. Each season’s mix will be accompanied by a playlist on bandcamp where you can listen and if you love the music, support the amazing artists that are featured ⋆.ೃ࿔*:･ link to the playlist in the @rosebellyhealing bio and the mix will be airing today 4-6 PM pat via @storage_____container on @dublab Pattern Diagnosis is A SEASONAL MIX SERIES OFFERING SONIC SPACE FOR BOTH ENERGETIC / BODILY REFLECTION AND PREPARATION. This summer was so juicy, I actually don’t know how I squeezed in so much, but Let My People Sing summer retreat was a MAJOR highlight!! I’ve wanted to attend one of @letmypeoplesing ‘s retreats for years and I’m so grateful @nogodsnohorsegirls and I got the chance this year. I experienced some of what I’m calling my “best Jewish Joy” moments of my life, along with deep wells of collective grief and rage. Especially during this time of immense fracture over zionism in our Jewish institutions, communities, and families, dedicating 4 days to “expanding the ancient and transformative practice of Jewish communal singing” and connecting to so many other aligned, (and so many queer!), Jews from around the world was life changing and life giving. I felt like so many threads of my life were weaving together and it was exactly where I was meant to be. I feel bolstered and resourced in ways I haven’t in years. Thank you to all the incredible organizers, teachers, and new havurah! I barely took any photos (thank you tech-free shabbat helping us be present) but here are a few special moments of liberatory Jewish community. Singing “Oseh Shalom” at the community concert (Yoel Sykes tune) Gorgeous @letmypeoplesing retreat songbook Farmer’s Niggun by Adam Horowitz Beautiful @isabella_freedman_retreats after the rain Neta Elkayam teaching us (I didn’t get the name but maybe Yom Ha Shabbat?) ✨ Sonja Moller-Hatfield did an incredible job of bringing to life Batya Levine’s “We Rise.” Her arrangement was powerful, and she also blew us away with the solo vocals she added on top. Wowza! The room was filled with a powerful, prayerful energy that brought some of us to tears. Our next Kingston Pop Choir session is on September 27th at the Tett Centre. Mike Compeau and Rob Lord, two of the founding members of the Road Apples (Tragically Hip Tribute Band), will be teaching us a couple of their favourite songs by The Tragically Hip! All voices are welcome. No previous singing experience is required. 💙We are so grateful for the rich, soul-filled time we got to share together at the 2026/5786 Summer Retreat. With the company of the pines and hills of Isabella Freedman, over delightful conversations at meals, during the deep learning from our teachers, and while absolutely sweating buckets…We were blessed by countless songs. Some ancient songs, some brand new tunes, and infinite moments of being transformed by the power of singing together. We are leaving with a renewed awe in what we can do, when we do it together. In the words of a participant: “LMPS allows me to feel in a time where I’m having so much trouble accessing my emotions. It allows me to imagine different possibilities for a Jewish future - one that is rooted in justice and allows everyone to feel at home in their Judaism.” 🙏For those who joined us in person, thank you for bringing your broken hearts, your courage, care, and voice to the space  – we quite literally could not have done it without you. For those who weren’t with us in person, we want to keep growing this project with you – check out the link in our bio to stay up to date on some ways to stay connected, and keep sharing music with one another. May we all continue tapping into the power of communal song to reveal the cracks and openings needed to get us through these times.  🦋Special shoutout to our incredible teachers and concert musicians: @neta_elkayam @amit_hai_cohen @rachel.chang.395 @yoniavibattat @anatmuse @movingmidrash @rabbikoach @basbaslev @margseagull   📷 Photo credit: Jess Benjamin (@jsbenjams), Let My People Sing! Some moments captured last Sunday at Heartsong Women’s’ Song Circle here in Central Portugal . I lead a small group of full hearted women gathering together to sing . Each session is always unique , each voice that arrives is cherished and so important . We sing , we laugh , we shed tears indivially and as a collective . My kind of Sunday ! ‘Trust in what’s coming , trust in your knowing , it’s deeper and wider and holy ‘ my mantra these days when you are faced with the so much unknown as a women. , mother , daughter and grandmother . Here we sang the beautiful song that you can not help but just sing sing and swim in the words and intention. Breath @basbaslev . Enjoy xxx

Kingston Pop Choir is delighted to welcome Sonja Moller-Hatfield as this month’s special guest artist! Join Sonja and a welcoming crew of strangers in downtown Kingston to sing a classic Canadian sea shanty and a modern song of resistance. 💪 Everyone is welcome, Sunday, August 23rd, 1 to 4 pm at Next Church! About this month’s songs… 🎶 (Yessiree, we’ll be singing TWO songs this month!) “Barrett’s Privateers” by Stan Rogers is one of Sonja’s favourite Canadian folk songs. She is particularly interested in the power of storytelling through song and the rich traditions of Canadian folk music. Barrett’s Privateers captures the spirit of Canada’s maritime heritage through its vivid narrative, memorable chorus, and enduring place in Canada’s folk music tradition. “We Rise” by Batya Levine reflects Sonja’s connection to the Jewish community and its enduring values of justice, compassion, and collective responsibility. Rooted in Jewish spiritual tradition, the song is both a gentle prayer and a call to action, reminding us that meaningful change happens when we care for one another and rise together in solidarity. A little more about Sonja… ✨ Sonja (she/her) is a board-certified music therapist and multi-instrumentalist who sings and plays violin and guitar. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy and is currently completing her Bachelor of Education at the University of Ottawa with a music teachable. Throughout her work as a music therapist, she has supported individuals on the autism spectrum, people living with acquired brain injuries, and older adults in memory care, using music to foster connection, expression, and community. This is going to be such a great afternoon! More info and tickets at the link in our bio! Feel free to reach out with any questions. #kingstonpopchoir #harmony #vocals #communitymusic #seashanty
