At Wild Canary, we believe that great food begins long before it reaches your plate. It starts with the people who grow it, the land, and the relationships we build with the local producers who share our passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients 🌱

We’re incredibly proud to work alongside a wonderful network of local suppliers who help bring our menus to life, including @basilealivingherbs, @tommerupsdairyfarm, @tommys_pastured_eggs and @harrys_paddock. These relationships are about more than just the ingredients we use in our kitchen. They’re about supporting local families and businesses, celebrating the work that goes into producing beautiful food, and strengthening the community that makes what we do so special.

This beautiful moment was captured at @tommerupsdairyfarm in the Scenic Rim, with our team holding freshly picked radishes straight from the farm. A simple reminder of the journey from the soil to the plate, and the care, dedication and connection behind every ingredient.

Supporting local means knowing where our food comes from, valuing the hands behind it and celebrating the incredible produce our region has to offer 🤍

I was asked last week why I don’t post more informational videos. The truth? I’m usually too busy actually doing the work to set up a camera, and really, I’d rather hand-pull bindi weed than spend my evenings editing video and thinking about the algorithms.

So here you go: fresh off deliveries, spotting a few cheeky strawberries to pick while I close the gate and catching a quick, hands-on herb lesson. Unedited, completely real, and with the delivery van still idling in the driveway 🤦‍♀️ (and with diesel pushing $3 a litre, you know I’m moving fast!) straight back to it.
