We started our design event days earlier last September 26 and now this is some sort of a throwback to October at the Likhang Filipino Exhibition Halls for Print & Proper!

Huge thanks to our featured speakers for sharing their industry expertise with the design community:

• Jan Potenciano & Rocio Macasaet (Primex Printers) on Product Conceptualization • Leia Carunungan (Nitto Printing) on Paper Engineering

Bridging the gap between creative design and technical print execution is how we grow as an industry.

Thank you to Philippine Center for Print Excellence Foundation (PCPEF), Likhang Filipino, CreatePhilippines, and all our amazing sponsors for making this event possible!

I swung by KapeCon to see friends, pick up old favorites, and discover new things. Got sketched for my coffee cup too!

My takeaway: You know you're old when you drink your coffee hot. 🙃

Word’s already out! We’d rather spend this weekend putting faces to names, sharing coffees over conversations, and celebrating all the good harvests this coffee month.

All paces are welcome at our Kapitbahay Run. Details and registration is through http://tinyurl.com/kubocoros 🛖

As much as I wanted to visit all the coffee events yesterday, I simply couldn’t be everywhere.

Thankfully, @basiscoffeeoutpost’s Kape, Kakanin at Kwentuhan started in the morning, so I managed to drop by @kalsadacoffee HQ—especially because I wanted to try the much-talked-about Tomato, Tomato drink that was also served during the Coffee & Matcha Fest at Greenfield District two weeks ago.

Of course, I ordered it right away. And wow… I honestly didn’t expect tomato to work so well in a coffee drink! The first few sips definitely gave me that distinct tomato flavor, but as I continued drinking, I started picking up something sweeter and fruitier—ripe pink guava. Such a creative combination!
The Tomato, Tomato also comes with a slice of biko, which turned out to be the perfect pairing. We also had the Sunset Espresso. The biko was satisfying. And heavy.

Kape, kakanin, and kwentuhan—definitely a fun way to spend the Saturday morning.

Yesterday, I checked out Samut Sari’s Whisk & Brew event at @thecornerhouseph . It was great seeing familiar spots like @nukinuki.matcha there! The real highlight was the Patis Caramel Matcha—it was incredible. I also really enjoyed Klubkame’s Kampfire; it’s officially my favorite item on their menu. It was so nice meeting you, @jethrobalaguer! To top it off, their collaboration with @oursparekey was chef’s kiss, especially the Chocobana. Thank you! @the.samutsari

Manila, you made our first pop-up one for the books. 🫶

What a weekend. We met so many new faces, and got to see familiar ones too.

To everyone who dropped by, shared a cup, grabbed a bowl—or even the judges who squeezed in a much-needed yogurt break 😂—thank you.

To our roaster friends who kept the brews flowing, and our matcha friends who brought their own energy to the booth, thank you for making Man Apsol & Friends feel like a little piece of the North in Manila.

Our first Manila pop-up was definitely one to remember.

Agyamanak, Manila. This won’t be the last. 🤝⛰️
