I met @mjracle1 and her mom @meeknomill72 about 10 years ago and over the years got to know both of them through a variety of outreach opportunities. For several years Tameek and Mjracle regularly volunteered their time to help us serve dinner to our community at the Salvation Army.

A few weeks ago Mjracle messaged me and said she wanted to support some families in our community and I had the honor of forwarding her donation to them. She wanted to do this without any fanfare or recognition, but I still wanted to acknowledge Mjracle for her kindness.

The video skits, interviews and photos are from when Mjracle used to live in our city and when she was only a few inches taller than me. I had to radio for backup after she stole my basketball and broke my ankle 🤣🤙🏽.

On behalf of the families whose holidays were made brighter thanks to her, mahalo nui loa Mjracle! #grateful #homegrown #outreach #aloha #makeadifference

@mjracle23 stopped by the @bellevuewapolicerecruiting to say hi to Chief Shirley and throw me around a bit. Believe it or not I was almost as tall as her when she was a 6th grader 😂.

Mjracle (“miracle”) and her mom @meeknomill72 used to regularly help us serve dinner to our community and routinely volunteers her time to support and uplift others. She will be headed to Louisiana soon to showcase her world class skills on the court with basketball powerhouse @lsuwbkb next year. Incredible, but not surprising!👏🏽🤙🏽 #jiujitsu #outreach #aloha #makeadifference #balltilthewhistleblows

“Love, aloha – it doesn’t cost any money, and it doesn’t take any effort. And the most amazing part? The more you give, the more you get. And the more you give, the more you have, and you can never, ever run out.” -Billy Kenoi 💙🤙🏽

On behalf of the Sheriff’s Office @basketballcopfoundation, we “hoop” @weareamikids Gainesville enjoys their new equipment. Building bonds with the community is always a slam dunk. AMIkids and five ACSO Cadets put together two new basketball goals this morning to replace the schools’ broken ones. The equipment and basketballs were donated to the school through the Basketball Cop Foundation.

#tbt Back in 2017 I was almost as tall as @mjracle23 😂😂

There are approximately 400,000 women who play high school basketball in the United States. Only 1.3% will compete at the Division 1 level.

As exceptional as Mjracle (pronounced “miracle”) is at basketball, the best thing about her has nothing to do with the sport. Back when she was in middle school she and her mom @meeknomill72 would regularly volunteer their time to help us serve dinner at the Salvation Army. They have also served dinner to our #community on thanksgiving day and wrapped Christmas presents for families in need at our local YMCA.

At the @bellevuewapolicerecruiting we regularly contact youth who are making bad decisions with likeminded peers, so it is very refreshing to see so much drive, focus and #discipline! What a great ambassador for the game and for young women who have dreams of competing at the highest levels. Gifted athlete, but an even better human being. 👏🏽🤙🏽 #bellevue #police #basketball #outreach #aloha #ballinbynature #makeadifference

Big shoutout to Basketball Cop Foundation for recognizing Sgt. Wheeler’s community efforts and sending us a shipment of various sports balls to hand out. These will be split up between the patrol shifts to hand out to kids in our community!

We had the great pleasure of having @mjracle23 stop by our station today. Before she left Washington to win back to back national championships as the point guard for the @mvagbb she was a member of our #community and regularly helped us serve dinner at the Salvation Army with her mom Tameek. Mjracle will be leaving to Mississippi to play for @hailstatewbk next.

Congratulations on all of your successes so far Mjracle! We are so proud of you! 👏🏽🤙🏽 #fbf #balltillthewhistleblows #ballinbynature
