POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

One year of Fuckup Nights in Chicago. 🖤

When we started, we honestly didn’t know if anyone would show up on a Thursday night to hear strangers talk about the worst moments of their careers.

322 of you did. 😅

14 speakers got on stage and shared the stuff most of us only tell our closest friends (or our therapists). And every time someone got honest about where it went wrong, you could feel the whole room relax a little.

What gets us every time is the conversations afterward. People who walked in not knowing anyone, suddenly sharing the thing they’ve never said out loud...

Failing still sucks. We didn’t fix that. But it turns out it sucks a lot less when you’re not doing it alone.

Thank you to Three Cities Social Club for giving us a home, Crafthouse Cocktails for the drinks, Jewell Events Catering for keeping everyone fed, and Ghost Social for backing us.

And thank you to everyone who came, stayed late, and brought a friend.

Year two kicks off this Thursday, Oct 29. Come hang. 🖤

Nobody expects to leave a night of failure stories smiling this hard.

But that’s the thing about hearing someone say the quiet part out loud: you realize you’re not the only one. And suddenly the room feels a lot lighter.

Come see for yourself. 💛 Tickets on sale for our next event October 29 at the link in bio.

Kinda chic, right? (shots by @tuliobrz and @jvidalrobert of a collab we did with Nike @lucasmichel in 2022, such epic memories!)

Writing this from a mid-day break in preparation for an Olympic @supertri_ this weekend and in the midst of a big client project serving a community I care about, and can tell you this has probably been one of my least linear years in recent history. And so totally worth it. One win: I’ve been peeling back the layers through in person storytelling, and sharing who I am off my resume and off screen.

To be able to realign, choose your direction and go after what nourishes you and the people you want to serve- what a privilege.

Thank you to @fuckupnightschicago for sharing the stage with me recently. ✨🫶🏽
