#locitude Look of the day: #tbt, that's me 4years ago with Locs just about a year old... This was the first time I started to acknowledge that my Locs were beautiful. Before then I suffered the awkward phase syndrome and the only way to get by was to not take pictures and never really in the mirror. Locs require patience... If you want them then you must go on the journey.... Join me tonight (9pm) on twitter i'll be discussing loc maintenance via #LumoTweetChat... Tag a loc head!

"Love someone and mean it. It's just that fucking simple. If you don't love, then leave. If you don't mean it, then move. Someone will. I promise you that." @basseyworld #basseyikpi

This is to everyone unlearning shame. This is to those we thought were perfect solely because their imperfections were scrubbed clean by the attention of a great artiste. This is for Ojukwu and the dying of the half of a yellow sun. This is for Anna Karenina. For Emma Bovary. For Sylvia Plath. For Marilynn Monroe. For Virginia Woolf. For Ben Enwonwu. Who history and great writers have forgiven for their sorrows and foolishness; their humanness. And this, finally, is to those that insist that shame is a baggage we need not carry.
