xyz⁺ emerged from years in the region, where many landmark projects were shaped from the outside in. Creativity here has long been imported, not built from within.

xyz⁺ reclaims a local voice through a multidisciplinary approach. Combining regional insight with a progressive vision, the studio designs experiences and structures - ephemeral or permanent - across design, art & culture, architecture, and scenography.

On the metro between City Walk and Deira, a moment in motion. A frame capturing a fleeting, faceless moment.

Bastien Campan (@bastiencampan) is a French designer and former architect who has called Dubai home for over a decade. Witnessing its ever-shifting architectural and cultural landscape. Two years ago, he picked up his wife’s old digital camera and rediscovered photography. What started as a casual experiment has since evolved into a deeply personal creative practice.

He first experimented with film years ago but has only recently returned to it, with greater intention. His work now merges an architectural sensibility with an introspective study of light, space, and memory, often through the lens of black and white.
