This Week’s Book of the Week was inspired by attending @the_rebel_reading_society’s Chicken Hill Comic Book Take Over event @butchersdogax this weekend.

My youngest absolute loves this series, but my eldest hadn’t read it for some reason ( probably to do with my youngest never wanting to share his books! 😂

Anyway, Introducing my eldest’s Book of the Week: Chicken Hill Frozen Squirrel Rescue Mission by the amazing @beccyblakeartist and Published by @bloomsburychildrens

Life is never normal in the town of Chicken Hill, join Ferdy, Gripper and Tink as they investigate a cave full of frozen Squirrels.

This graphic novel is three amazing stories on one book.
My eldest has absolutely loved it, he read both books within a day and can’t wait for more next Feb - he doesn’t know why he hadn’t read them sooner!

Chicken Hill Frozen Squirrel Rescue Mission is available to purchase on @the_rebel_reading_society’s Online bookshop. Please see @the_rebel_reading_society’s bio or DM for the web link.

🐓Chicken Hill Comic Book Take Over🐓

The boys had the best time drawing with @beccyblakeartist .

My youngest absolutely loves Chicken Hill and my eldest left the workshop reading book one ( and finishing it)

I now have TWO Chicken Hill Fans!

Hello! The Inkpot Collective have been sharing postcards to #frankfurtbookfair2026 this week. Here is an ever-so-slightly-Christmassy pic from me (too soon for Christmassy?!), and it's from one of the picturebook projects I've been working on lately. If you swipe a bit, you'll find a few pics from other projects too, some as-yet-unpublished, some published.

More pics at www.katiemaygreen.co.uk

Thank you Gill @Bathlitagency for kindly touting my wares!

Have a great weekend, whether you're in Frankfurt or Fairyland.

I have indeed been sneakily working behind the scenes with the fantastic @bbcbitesize team in creating one out of a new series of interactive stories designed to promote a joy for reading and encourage comprehension.

So without further a do here is my latest and first interactive picture book:

“Bigger than You” 🐜

I’ve absolutely loved being part of the team and seeing something I created come to life – a massive thank you to the animation whizz kid @fahimation_art for all his hard work and to the talented @rodneygoodenvo for giving my characters such a wonderful voice through his narration. I’m truly grateful.

Illustrator Goals ✅

My story is part of a wider suite of interactive stories available on Bitesize for Primary school aged children so be sure to check them out and make use of this fantastic resource - link is both below and found in my linktree above or visit the BBC Bitesize page and search “Bigger than you”.

Some very exciting news ahead….

I made a post earlier in the year that very very subtly suggested who I might be collabing with, and a number of you guys correctly pieced the clues - and guessed it!

It’s @bbcbitesize
