WE ARE BECAUSE YOU ARE • BAUBA COLLECTIVE • VIDINY 2025 „Jsme, protože jsi“ vypráví příběh, kde se minulost potkává s budoucností – tam, kde sama voda přemýšlí o svých současných potřebách a touhách. ORIGINÁLNÍ ANGLICKÉ ZNĚNÍ: „We are because you are“ presents a narrative where the past meets the future, dwelling into where water itself reflects on its current needs and desires. Bauba Collective inspired by the famed old fishponds of the Třeboň Basin, a vital element in protecting biodiversity in the region, presents a short video that reimagines the ponds as a habitat of the planet that, after many years of human interventions, through a voice of a mud spirit warns about the ill-fated future of the ponds. The imaginative journey into the relations between different habitants of the planet, human actions, and interventions, aims to remind humans of their coexistence on this planet, which shall lead to compassion and well-being of all ecosystems. The work was created during an artistic residency at 105 in the summer of 2025. #vidiny #festival #videos
