From mid-century modern to modern retro maximalism. Defying convention and creating a space that maximizes texture and pattern. My space has always been my canvas, shifting and growing right alongside me. This current iteration is bold, dynamic, and sophisticated—featuring rich mahogany lacquer, high-gloss accents,, and a fierce cheetah-print foundation. For a long time, I preferred staying behind the scenes. Now, I’m stepping into the light and letting my space reflect everything that I am. Take a quick peek inside. Full article on Substack. “You are your most valuable currency.” — Michael Haskins Jr, Founder @currencystudio ISSUE 004 — REMAIN.

Our time inside Currency Studio was an experience in intention—where clothing, art, architecture, hospitality and ritual exist as expressions of one deeply considered point of view. In “You Are Your Most Valuable Currency,” AoD Culture Curator, Umi Patterson sits down with founder Michael Haskins Jr. (@currencymichaels) to explore nearly two decades of building, the influence of Baltimore, and the patience required to create something meaningful enough to remain. More than a conversation about a brand, the story examines identity, evolution and the understanding that our greatest asset is not what we own—but who we become. Experience the full story in AoD Magazine, The September Issue 004 launching in print this week.
