We need help 😢

Last night our container was cut open and all our tools + 3 quad bikes have been stolen.

Our next social media post was supposed to be one of our biggest yet. Officially launching our new partnership with Honda 😭 2 brand new Honda quad bikes on loan to us have been stolen as well as our old faithful quad too.

Crime scene investigators are on their way.

The people who have stolen them are professionals. Using a windy day to mask the sound of their tools, hotwiring the quadbikes, and coming prepared with everything they need. We think they’ve either done two trips or come with 2 vans.

This was planned, either watching us where we store the quads or using our social media posts to target us.

Please share this post and hopefully they’ll see our mission to make the world a better place, feel bad, and leave them somewhere for us to collect. But I doubt it, they could be in Europe by now.

This couldn’t have happened on a worse day - the big storm and swell have churned up lots of plastic. We were waiting for these conditions to recover huge volumes of plastic waste.

We’re so gutted we could cry 😢 Please help us get this viral so that the thieves can see it, although they probably watch us anyway

We're going to miss you, Susie! ❤️

BBC Look East presenter Susie Fowler-Watt has decided to hang up her earpiece for the final time as she prepares to leave the corporation after 35 years.

Susie, one of the longest-serving presenters at the BBC, will host her final show on 18 December.

She joined the BBC in 1991, becoming a lead presenter in 1997, and said it had been a "privilege" to have "grown up" alongside audiences.

Robert Thompson, director of production for BBC Local, said: "Susie has made an outstanding contribution to the BBC and audiences across the East of England."

£50,000 - that's the amount more than 30 friends, colleagues and girlfriends of a Sheffield man say he scammed them out of. They say they wanted to speak to a BBC Yorkshire investigation to warn others about Matthew Carroll.

Neither Carroll or South Yorkshire Police have commented.

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to @the_real_celo_ashanti_yard! 🎉

We’re incredibly proud to share that David has been highly commended in the Volunteer category at the @bbcsuffolk #MakeADifferenceAwards!

Following the devastating impact of Hurricane Melissa on the Caribbean last October, David rallied a team of volunteers to help secure a 40ft container packed with donations destined for Jamaica.

The response was truly amazing, with individuals and communities across Suffolk, Essex and Norfolk coming together to donate and support the cause.

But David didn’t stop there! He went above and beyond, flying out to Jamaica to meet the container on arrival and help ensure the donations reached the people who needed them most.

Working alongside @bredstreasurebeach, #TwinPalmsFoundation and another dedicated team of volunteers, David helped distribute donations throughout St Elizabeth Parish and Westmoreland including a community called Ipswich!

We’re absolutely delighted that David’s hard work, dedication and selfless commitment have been recognised. His willingness to give up his time and go the extra mile has been instrumental in helping us fulfil our mission.

And this is only the beginning! David is continuing to work closely with Jamaica Aid organisations across East Anglia as we look for even more ways to support communities affected by the hurricane.

David, thank you for everything you’ve done, and continue to do. This recognition is so well deserved!
