We’re heading to Mağusa Kale Pasajı (@magusakalepasaji) in Famagusta on November 8th for an afternoon unpacking how funding for music projects and artists work, taking a look at the funding landscape and where to find grants, and what makes a strong application. For this session, we’re sitting down with: - Ziad Fayed, Germany/Lebanon (@alberlinmusic / @bbimf) - Maria Kaimaklioti, Cyprus (@scalasoundhub.music) Stick around for the evening session on record release strategies at 18:30, followed by an open jam session and artist merchandise market from 21:00. Admission is free, with registration and car-sharing options available via the link in bio. This is an activity of the Technical Committee on Culture, powered by Windcraft Loud in collaboration with SCALA Music & Sound Hub and Cyprus Mixtape, facilitated by the UN Good Offices Mission in Cyprus, implemented by the United Nations Development Programme and funded by the European Union. Beginning on 18 October, East Cyprus Music Meetings is inviting musicians, songwriters, producers, concert promoters and many more, to share insights side by side in a series of workshops and discussions on navigating the island’s music industry. Swipe through for the full schedule. All events are free, with registration required for each workshop via the link in bio. Car-sharing is available on a first-come, first-served basis through the registration form. Led by local and international practitioners, East Cyprus Music Meetings turns its attention less to how music is performed or written, and more to the practical and less visible structures of the music industry: releasing a record, securing funding, navigating export and showcases, reaching audiences across and beyond the island, and empowering women in the music industry, as well as the needs and future of the island’s music community. Alongside the discussions and workshops, there’ll be jam sessions, open stages, and plenty of opportunities to meet and connect with other people from across the island’s music ecosystem. In the age of AI, I went back to basics :) For the first time, I recorded my music live with a full band, and I couldn't have wished for a lovelier experience! Four new songs, a warm studio, and everything just flowed.  I couldn't stop smiling (and tearing up a little)🤍 So much love and gratitude to the wonderful musicians @bernard_najm @khalaframzi @christopheraj1 @scarlettsaad , Fouad Afra and @simon_salameh for bringing their magic to these songs. To @fadi_tabbal , @joy_moughanni and everyone at Tunefork Studios, thank you for making those recording days such a pleasure. And a big thank you to @bbimf for their support. This project was developed with the Musicians Support Program 03, as part of the MASAR program, funded by Institut Français du Liban. Can't wait for you to hear these songs! What does it take to build a sustainable music ecosystem for artists in the region? Tiny House Music’s Professional Program with Rumman Festival brought together a community of artists and music professionals to learn, exchange, initiate and create the necessary conversations that support musicians in their artistic and professional development. We caught up with our founder, Samer Etienne El Chami, and Tamer Haddad from Delia Arts Foundation, a key partner in this program, to find out more about the mission and ideas behind such initiatives. The program took place on September 4 & 5 in Tripoli with @rummantripoli at @marsahtripoli, but the countless conversations are still echoing with us ✨ We're grateful to Delia Arts Foundation, BBIMF and IAC Berlin for their support in bringing this program to life and everyone who shared this experience with us. 15 years @amanisemaan 💙 who would have thought that our first meeting in Beirut in 2012 would lead to the incredible @bbimf festival, so much joy, crazy loads of work, unbelievable challenges, our unique friendship, so much joie de vivre, in the middle of dark, dystopian times. This weekend we finally managed to spend quality time, by chance, in Montpelier at @festivalarabesques ❤️ Music, The à la mente, laughs and good chairs! Looking forward to 15 or more years with you! BETHLEHEM has been a beautiful journey since we reached out to Sary, Abed and Lawrence in December 2023. Through a very dark time in Palestine and Lebanon, our friendship and ongoing collaboration with Lawrence Sammour, Sary Moussa @sssaarrv and Abed Kobeissy @abed_kobeissy have meant so much to us. We’re so excited to see this project keep growing, with Makram Aboul Hosn @makramaboulhosn1 joining along the way, and grateful to everyone who has helped bring it to life: the radio stations that shared the first broadcast, Le Guess Who? @le_guess_who, Dar El Nimer, Beirut & Beyond @bbimf, and Constellation. BETHLEHEM is out October 16 on Constellation. Long live this project ♡ LIVE DATES 07 Nov 2026 — Utrecht, NL — Le Guess Who? 08 Nov 2026 — Ghent, BE — Groot Begijnhof Sint-Elisabeth 18 Dec 2026 — Amman, JO — el-masna Photos by @elias.anastas taken at nativity church in Bethlehem
