It’s always fun bringing the surf community together in different parts of the world, but the Hawaii Championships are definitely one of our favourites. Always smiles, sunshine, and good vibes all around. Especially with the waves we had all week, no one could really complain this year! 🌊☀️

This year also brought a fun new addition to the event — a friendly competition between Twin Fin Waikiki and 'Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach. Each hotel picked four athletes, with their combined scores counting toward the challenge throughout the competition. Hopefully this keeps growing and we see more events adding fun extras like this in the future!

The reason I love solo traveling so much is because of the people you meet along the way. It’s easier to be yourself when no one knows you, and being yourself you draw in all the best people.

Travel friendships are funny because you meet, you find out where they’re from; and then you do everything together and act like you’ve known each other your whole lives , and then a lot of times you never see them again.

But getting the opportunity to connect to people like that on such a real level is the reason behind every plane ticket I book.

I took my first solo trip when I was 17 and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. When I started traveling i thought It was because I wanted to see the world. Turns out the most beautiful thing about the world are the people in it.
