10 BEST STEAKHOUSES IN THE BAY AREA

A good steakhouse is where you send someone before they finish asking where to eat. I took a statewide top 50 steakhouse ranking and kept only the Bay Area stops, then checked every one. One San Jose name on the list has shut its doors for good, so the next ranked house took its seat. Here is the Bay Area ten, strongest first.

1. Niku Steakhouse. 61 Division St, San Francisco. Michelin starred wagyu counter, binchotan grill, A5 cuts you will talk about all week. IG @nikusteakhouse
2. Be.Steak.A. 1887 S Bascom Ave, Campbell. Italian steakhouse energy at the Pruneyard, Kerwee ribeye and a Sunday brunch worth planning around. IG @be.steak.a
3. Miller & Lux. 700 Terry A Francois Blvd, San Francisco. Tyler Florence glamour next to Chase Center, tableside Caesar and a 45 oz wagyu tomahawk. IG @millerandlux
4. Harris' Restaurant. 2100 Van Ness Ave, San Francisco. Old school Nob Hill institution, dry aged steaks, white tablecloths and live jazz in the lounge. IG @harrisrestaurantsf
5. Cole's Chop House. 1122 Main St, Napa. Downtown Napa's classic chop house, 21 day dry aged cuts and a deep Napa cabernet list. IG @coleschophouse
6. Alexander's Steakhouse. 19379 Stevens Creek Blvd, Cupertino. 28 day dry aged prime and imported wagyu with Japanese touches, open since 2005. IG @alexanderssteakhouse
7. Sundance The Steakhouse. 1921 El Camino Real, Palo Alto. Family owned for over 50 years, famous slow roasted prime rib and the mud pie finish. IG @sundancethesteakhouse
8. Bobo's. 1450 Lombard St, San Francisco. Prime dry aged four to six weeks plus whole Dungeness crab in a Venetian carnival room.
9. EPIC Steak. 369 The Embarcadero, San Francisco. Waterfront steaks, Bay Bridge views and a 28 day dry aged porterhouse. IG @epicsteak
10. Osso Steakhouse. 1177 California St, San Francisco. Art deco Nob Hill room, dry aged ribeye and the famous cheese skillet bread. IG @ossosteakhouse

While not officially a Negroni Week venue, @be.steak.a has a weekend of Negronis that goes until Monday. This number is the Negroni Rosso, with Awayuki strawberry gin, Fusetti banana bitters, sweet vermouth, and port. The strawberry/banana really hits up front! Cocktail: The Negroni Rosso

We came to check out @be.steak.a ‘s Tommy Tuesday 🥩 5 sides + Tomahawk steak for $175 and a priceless experience! Everything I ate was 10/10 and I won’t lie I was nervous for the giant Ravioli. *Ravioli , Burrata, Garlic fries and Panna cotta were all ordered separately not included in tommy tuesday special*

We also learned from our server that @orchardcitykitchen and @be.steak.a are sister restaurants, both owned by the same South Bay chef Jeffrey Stout. We love how creative and ever-changing the menus at OCK are, especially their breakfast dishes. They’re both located in @thepruneyard 💙

2 South Bay date night spots I’ve tried recently that are actually worth it 👀🍸✨

🥩 Be.Steak.A — elevated, romantic & perfect when you want something a little nicer
🍸 JOEY Valley Fair — trendy, lively & more of a fun/flirty vibe

Both passed the date night test 💅🏼

Which one are you picking?

“There are certain names in wine that need very little introduction.

Domaine de la Romanée-Conti is one of them.

These vineyards in Burgundy have produced some of the most coveted wines in the world for generations—and today, Be.Steak.A received its largest allocation of DRC to date.

Including: Romanée-Conti.

As a Wine Director, you spend countless hours building a cellar. Bottle by bottle. Vintage by vintage. Relationship by relationship.

And as I get ready to close my chapter here, there’s something incredibly special about knowing wines like these will become part of this cellar’s history long after I’m gone.

I can’t think of a better final addition to a wine program I’m incredibly proud to have helped build.”

Cheers to 32 🎉
Omggg ok this past year was packed with memorable opportunities and adventures, but my biggest focus was learning to slow down. I’m always spreading myself thin trying to do it all, and honestly I could do it all, but my issue is I’m very go with the flow 🙂‍↔️ so not much planning gets done and you can guess how that ends. This year I swear Ima get more organized lol!! I’ve come to peace that every opportunity presented to me is not meant for me. I’m def the type of person that constantly needs to slow down, get things in order before I get burnt out…

So cheers to 32, getting more organized this year and another year enjoying my fave foods & coffee 🎉🤭
