📚 Saturday Stack Challenge 📚

I couldn’t resist matching this gorgeous rainbow stack to my newest read, Love You More by Emily Giffin. 🩷🧡💚 I absolutely love how vibrant these books look together!

I’m excited to dive into this one and see what everyone has been talking about. 📚💫

Happy Saturday! What is everyone up to this weekend? Very low key weekend here after a busy week but looking forward to an author event on Sunday to see Karin Slaughter and some of my DE book gals! 💫

Tagging some book besties to match a spine stack but if you see this consider yourself tagged! No pressure though 💖

Thank you to @librofm and @harperbooks for the free ALC of Whistler by Ann Patchett, narrated by the author.

I had the pleasure of buddy reading Whistler with @momsreadingera @beach.reading @run_and_read_2live @allthebooksalltheways @read_renew_repeat @mississippimomreads and @booksandcarryons

This was my first buddy read using StoryGraph, and I absolutely loved the experience. We were all able to read at our own pace without spoiling anything for each other, which made it even more enjoyable.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

Whistler hooked me from the very beginning. I felt such a strong need to ferret out all the secrets surrounding the events that ultimately separated Daphne Fuller and her stepfather Eddie when she was just nine years old. What makes this story especially compelling is that the present-day timeline is just as intriguing so the reader is always engaged. Watching how this chance meeting impacts everyone involved kept me completely invested.

I also loved how Ann Patchett explores memory in this novel. The way Daphne’s forgotten memories slowly resurface as she searches for the truth felt so natural and deeply affecting.

The narration by the author is fantastic. That is no small feat considering the high bar set by Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks narrating her previous works I have listened to. Ann Patchett truly delivers a powerful performance.

Highly recommend this one if you enjoy stories that thoughtfully explore relationships, memory, and the lasting impact of the past.

QOTD: Do you enjoy books that explore memory and dual timelines, or do you prefer a more straightforward narrative?
