Two days after my 40th in Folegandros, I sent this message to everyone who came. I don’t think I’ve found a better way of putting it since.

“The Odyssey might be over, and I’ve been trying to work out how to put the last few days into words. I don’t think I can do them justice…

The thing I’ll remember most is the energy between everyone the entire time. I felt it, and whenever I looked around at everyone’s faces, I knew you felt it too.

I’m also very glad you all placed your trust in me. Trusted me when I started saying “BOOK THOSE FERRIES” in January. Trusted me when I started saying “START PLANNING YOUR OUTFITS” months in advance.

Because I had this vision very early on that, if everyone committed to it, we could create something genuinely special and magical together, something all of us would remember for the rest of our lives.

And now you know why I chose Folegandros…I wanted somewhere…we could disappear for a few days, without too many distractions, and properly connect with each other.

Because these are the moments that actually matter.

Having fun, laughing, dancing, watching those sunsets and sunrises together. Relinquishing all of life’s responsibilities for a brief moment in time…

And although technically we were celebrating me turning 40, what I realised over those few days was that we were celebrating something much bigger than a birthday.

We were celebrating friendship.

People came from different countries, different cities, different periods of my life and completely different friendship groups, and somehow, for a few days on this tiny Greek island, it all became one.

Yes, it was a lot of planning.
Yes, it was a lot of organising.
And yes, at various points I was probably completely insane.

I fucking loved every second of it.

Because I saw how much you all embraced it, how much you appreciated it, and how much fun everyone had. And I would do it all again in a heartbeat.

Thank you for travelling all that way. Thank you for committing to the madness. Thank you for the outfits, the energy, and the love and for making my 40th something I will genuinely never forget.

Most of all, thank you for being my friends.”

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - only @andrew_argo09 could get 55 gays (and one cheeky gal) dressed as Greek gods, climbing mountains in their freshest whites and partying our way around the coast of Folegandros.

Quite literally a Greek odyssey. 🇬🇷 The BEST time. HBD, King! We love you!❤️‍🔥

90 days of hard work and consistency are paying off! 💪🏻

When I started this journey I was physically and mentally in a very low point, ridden with anxiety and after hard months not taking care of myself and losing weight.

I want to thank @alexatbealdbodies for guiding me through this process and pushing me to do better.

Now to keep on pushing forward and seeing how far can I go!
