💜 TWO CLINICS. TWO INCREDIBLE JUDGES. RIDE FOR RAYAS. 💜

We’re thrilled to announce TWO @rideiea Zones Prep Clinics in partnership with @clinicsforcause

Both clinics will be led by exceptional clinicians who knew Rayas, believed in her, and helped shape her riding journey. Rayas trained with both Rita Timpanero and Terrence Huebner, making these clinics especially meaningful to all of us.

📍 NOVEMBER 22 | LONG ISLAND, NY
The Thomas School of Horsemanship | Jericho
Clinician: Rita Timpanero

📍 DECEMBER 6 | WARWICK, NY
Ride For Rayas Arena at Raven Hill
Clinician: Terrence Huebner

A very special thank you to @deirdreham , Rayas’s fairy godmother, for opening Raven Hill and hosting us at the arena named in Rayas’s honor. And to Barbara Martens and her family for so quickly and enthusiastically agreeing to host @thomaschool

Both clinics are designed to help IEA riders prepare for Zones, with cross rails, 2-foot, Open, plenty of flatwork, and competition strategy. And because both clinicians are judges, riders will have the opportunity to learn firsthand what judges are really looking for in the ring. Please bring all of your question.

These clinics are happening because of young people making things happen.

Our partnership with Clinics For A Cause grew out of the initiative and leadership of our friend @emmerydavis , who leads Clinics For A Cause and also serves on the IEA National Youth Board.

So many of our initiatives and new ideas begin with our young leaders. They dream things up, make connections, and bring us possibilities. Our job is to listen, help kick down doors and guide alongside to turn those ideas into something meaningful, successful, and true to Rayas’s vision.

Thank you @nara_brunink_eq for this one!

We couldn’t be more excited to partner with Emmery and Clinics For A Cause to bring these opportunities to riders while raising funds to make riding more accessible through Ride For Rayas 💜

Everyone keeps asking: How can we help Ride For Rayas? THANK YOU!!!!! 🙏🏽
We built a toolkit to make it easy. ❤️🐴
Introducing a new Ride For Rayas Fundraising Program—a way for barns, IEA teams, riders, families and friends to help open the gate for another rider.
Host a bake sale. Organize a riding clothes swap. Run a raffle. We’ll send you the playbook, signs, guidelines and digital tools to get started.
Have a great fundraising idea of your own? We want to hear it! Yes Please!!! Bring us your idea and we’ll help you make it happen.
And this matters to us: young people can lead this.
You don’t have to run a barn. You don’t even have to be a rider. Any one can gather some friends, bring an idea to a barn, horse show, or community event and do it.
Riders helping riders. Coaches, trainers, barn managers, we’d love your help too 💖💖💖
Young people showing up, taking the lead and seeing what we can make possible.
And every participating barn gets something special: a Ride For Rayas OPEN THE GATE tag, handmade, brass finish to hang at the in-gate.
✨💖✨ Touch it for luck on your way into the ring. #IYKYK 💖✨💖
Rayas used her Make-A-Wish to help other young riders. Every fundraiser helps carry her wish forward.
Want to join us—or have an idea you want to try? Please DM @rideforrayasofficial or email forever@rideforrayasofficial.com and we'll send you the PLAYBOOK.
All donations and fundraiser proceeds go directly to the IEA Ride For Rayas Grant.
Please help us spread the word! Thanks very much💗💗💗
RIDE FOR RAYAS!!!! Let’s GOOOOOOOOOO!!!💗💗💗#RideForRayas

Our first Ride For Rayas meet-up had to be somewhere special. And this was SO special.
Yesterday, our first RFR grantees and their families arrived at @greenvalleytack to use the gear portion of their grants—and Jonna, Rita, and Chloe essentially gave us the store.
Our Youth Board was there in force, meeting our grantees and helping with coats, boots, fit and big decisions. Kathy Dando from IEA and Skylar Schwartz, our Zone 2 IEA Youth Board Chair, joined us ❤️ Thank you @dreamersnschemerssocks who made sure every grantee and Youth Board member left with a pair of their incredible socks - always Rayas's fave.
There were dozens of us. It was loud and happy and absolutely wonderful.
This is why RFR includes gear in our grants. Being properly outfitted matters. We want our riders walking into their opportunities safely, and feeling prepared, confident and like they belong.
And for me, there was something more.
@deirdreham of course, first brought Rayas and me to Green Valley Tack. Rayas LOVED this store. Going there was never an errand—it was an event. On days she wasn't able to ride, often we came to Green Valley instead.
It always brought sunshine.
Yesterday, watching these riders experience that same joy, I could feel Rayas with us. In the noise, the trying on, the big opinions, the laughter, the horse things and the horse girls.

Thank you, Green Valley Tack, for opening your doors and your hearts to us and taking such extraordinary care of our riders.
Yesterday morning was pure joy.
And literally every day is the best day at Green Valley Tack. 🫰 #rideforrayas #IEA #IEAZone2 #OpenTheGate

Today, Practical Horseman is sharing Rayas’s story ❤️
It is a story about horses, of course. But it is also about what one young person can set in motion.
About Rayas’s extraordinary way with horses. About the work she did with medical students, using horses to teach empathy, presence and connection. About the arena at Raven Hill Farm that will carry her name. And about the wonderful girls of the Ride For Rayas Youth Advisory Board — her closest riding friends — who have taken what she started and are helping carry it forward.
These girls have shown up with so much heart, humor, courage and purpose. They are helping us open doors for other young riders and build something that feels deeply, unmistakably Rayas.
There are a lot of ways to ride for Rayas.
Thank you to Sarah Susa and Practical Horseman for taking the time to know Rayas, understand what she set in motion, and share her story with the wider horse world. https://practicalhorseman.com/ride-for-rayas-raises-up-riders-while-honoring-the-life-of-a-young-equestrian/

We took a little trip to ride together in Rayas’s honor — the RFR girls and their INCREDIBLE moms💜
That night we went to watch cow cutting. None of us really knew what it was.
Within minutes, @lu.piv.eq and @soph_eqq had somehow talked their way into the practice, borrowed horses, climbed into Western saddles for the first time, and went after some cows.
And got THREE. 😂🐄🐄🐄
No plan. No experience. A questionable amount of permission…
Get on the horse. Figure it out.
Scrappy, fearless, hilarious, a little audacious and completely game.
So Rayas.
There are a lot of ways to Ride for Rayas. This was such a ridiculously fun way to ride for her. 💜

The Founding 8: Rayas loved riding, and she loved the people it brought into her life just as much.
These young women, some of Rayas’s very best friends—her barn family, her teammates, and some of the people who knew her best. They grew up alongside Rayas, sharing so much of her life, and through all of it—the very wonderful and the very worst—they stuck by her every every every step of the way.
Now they are helping us build Ride for Rayas as its Founding Youth Advisory Board. It means more than I can say to have them helping carry this forward. They love Rayas, they know what mattered most to her, and now they’re bringing their own vision, energy, and heart to Ride for Rayas.
I’m so grateful for their friendship, their voices, and the love for Rayas that they bring to this work. There is something incredibly special about watching the girls she loved so much carry forward what she believed in. #RideForRayas #FoundingEight #YouthLeadership #womensleadership
