@pasture_bristol We’ve been waiting to try their roast for so long and when our foodie northerners were in town we decided it was time! We tasted some moreish pulled beef Bon Bon’s using the beef trim off cuts, that were absolutely delicious whilst we waited for the main event…
The sexiest sides from loaded spinach gratins to intensely tangy cauliflower cheese and bottomless gravy (essential for the northerners) paired with perfectly pink Porterhouse steaks, aged in the on site chambers and so intensely charred - the over fire cooking really does hero 🤤 The vibe, the food, the wine 10/10 from us lot

CELEBRATING 3K with some burger porn 🍔 🍔 🍔

I feel like everyone is talking about Leeds’ latest addition to the burger scene @fathippofood. After smashing it in Newcastle, Nottingham, Manchester and Sheffield they recently opened their newest site in Headingley. We were kindly invited down to try their menu which I have been VERY excited about and safe to say it did not disappoint!

I really struggled to pick as all the burger flavours sounded so freaking tasty but we ended up going for:

🍔 BORN SLIPPY- double beef patty cheese, garlic mayo, braised rib meat, jalapeños and chilli jam

🍔 SWISS TONY- double beef patty, swiss cheese, smoked bacon, mushrooms, tobacco onions and truffle mayo

🍟 TRASH BROWNS- deep fried tater tots, liquid cheese and cajun onion strings

Well Jesus Mary Joseph and the wee donkey it was all an absolutely dream. The burgers are enormous but somehow my white top stayed white 😂 and they were so juicy and full of flavour. I also can’t recommend the trash tots enough - cheesy deep fried naughtyness which absolutely hit the spot. I’ve been thinking about them ever since.

I definitely need to get myself back asap to try more from the menu.

🍪 🍪 🍪 🍪 Happy hump day and what better way to celebrate than with these chunky little beauties snapped up from @hessian_cantina_cocina by @_chunkcookies_. I keep seeing these vegan NYC style cookies pop up all over my IG feed so was excited to try them and they did NOT disappoint. Flavours were biscoff, double chocolate orange, smores and choc chip. What you can’t see is the gooey chocolate in the middle which was a total game changer 😍😍😍
The legends at hessian gave us two extra cookies because it was near closing so we had 2 at room temp and the other 2 later on warmed up with icecream... unreal.

Bagels for days at @houseofkoko 🥯 🥯 🥯

I’ve had the reuben on my mind since having it a few weeks ago so we went back for take 2 and it didn’t disappoint. Also tried the vegan mozzarella with basil oil and tomatoes - not sure how vegan mozz can taste this good?! A masterpiece 🔥

CREME EGG FUDGE BROWNIES 🐰🍫 [EASTER RECIPE]

If you’ve been stuffing your face with Easter eggs like me then HIGH 5 !! I didn’t use to like creme eggs when I was younger, but now I can’t get enough especially when Easter’s fast approaching. Any excuse for chocolates! Most of you know just how good they can also be in fudgey, indulgent brownies for that extra special touch - if you don’t know you need to try !! ❤️

💖INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and HOT
1 tbsp olive oil
1 1/2 cup white sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup plain flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp cinnamon
6-9 creme eggs @cadburyuk
5-10 choc mini eggs
Topping: choc/white choc sprinkles + choc sauce

➡️METHOD:
Preheat oven to 180c. Cut your creme eggs into half (keep in fridge for 2 hours before so easier to cut through) and set aside. Grease an 8 inch square pan with butter/oil and line with baking paper. Whisk butter, olive oil and sugar in a bowl. Then add eggs and vanilla extract, whisk until lighter in colour. Sift flour, cocoa powder and salt in the bowl, then fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until combined. Pour batter into pan. Bake for 15-18 minutes and remove pan. Place your half creme eggs and press into the top of brownies - cook for additional 5 minutes. Remove pan and add your other toppings/mini eggs. Let cool in room temperature before serving. Enjoy 😊

CULTO 👏 👏 👏
This isn’t my first post on @cultoitalian aka humble providers of the best pizza in Leeds. It almost certainly won’t be the last. This dreamy little sitch was our Saturday night - rest assured this pizza was not shared and the BF had his own. To my own shock I strayed from my usual diavolo to sample the mushroom and truffle (with added nduja because everything’s better with nduja). As always, culto absolutely smashed it 🍕 🍕 🍕
Only thing better than a culto pizza on my doorstep is leftover culto for breakfast. If you know, you know 😉

Happy weekend to everyone - especially the guys at @hessian_cantina_cocina for whipping me up this brioche stack with bacon, chorizo, chilli mayo, green salsa and rocket 🤤 it was an absolute sensation.

To balance out the calories I went for a lil green juice on the side because, health. I do actually love a good green juice and this one was a great size and punchy with the ginger so went down a treat. The BF went for a halloumi brioche stack with fried egg salsa and mayo which was apparently fantastic but I didn’t get a sniff of it because it was gone so quickly.

Looking forward to the day we can all go out for indoor brunches again but until then I’ll just be freezing my butt off rotating through all the best takeaway brunches in town 💁🏻‍♀️
