GLAM: A Wearable Architecture workshop where clothing and everyday items were sustainably reimagined and redesigned into new fashion pieces.

Because sometimes old pieces just need a makeover, and sometimes, your new favourite piece might be waiting to be discovered in someone else’s closet.

Honoured to have been part of this workshop hosted by @homegrownplus , @royalcollegeofart and @undlovu_

Had the honour of hosting a Wearable Architecture workshop in partnership with @homegrownplus @royalcollegeofart at the @witssoap with the support of @witssoapssc

The Vision is to equip the youth with sustainable ways of imagining clothing as an alternative to how it’s done in the mainstream.

This might be a crazy take but I believe that our favourite long lasting pieces are in each others closets!

The bucket hat I’m wearing I “borrowed” from my sister @ndlovuukazi and refined it to my liking now it’s one of my favourite items that I will protect and keep for a long time!

What’s your view on Fashion and how to you approach your clothing on a daily? For me I just cut out my fit 🙏🏾

Thank you to all the amazing creatives that joined, I hope it was a fruitful experience. I’m really excited to share more of what we’ll be up to going forward!

Our lovely panelists from last night’s Love of Art Podcast Panel hosted by @beata_belle_ and the @wsoa_council 🎙️✨

What an unforgettable evening! We were honored to host an incredible mix of young creatives, seasoned professionals, and emerging voices - each bringing powerful insight, honesty, and heart to the conversation.

They dropped gems 💎 sharing real stories about their journeys, the risks they took, the doors that didn’t open, and the ones they built for themselves. They spoke candidly about the challenges they’ve faced in their creative paths and offered wisdom on navigating the very obstacles our students may encounter as they pursue their own artistic dreams.

From resilience and reinvention to confidence, collaboration, and staying authentic in a competitive industry - the knowledge shared was invaluable. More than just advice, they gave perspective. More than just stories, they gave strategy. And most importantly, they gave inspiration.

To our panelists: thank you for pouring into the next generation, for your transparency, and for reminding us that the love of art is not just about talent - it’s about courage, consistency, and community. 🤍

The future is bright because of conversations like these. 🌟 #LoveOfArt #CreativeCommunity #ArtistJourney #NextGenerationCreatives

Seven Colours 2024/5

A year in, and I want nothing more than the opportunity to offer as much of myself as I can to the process that was this production; for at least another year. Just one more year.

Thank you, @kamo_molobye , for every word of encouragement and for the care and sensitivity with which you directed us. Working with you was a prayer and plea I made to God, one I didn’t know would be answered so soon, and I’m deeply grateful. I miss learning from you and the space you so beautifully facilitated, but I look forward to the future with a great deal of hope.

To my family and siblings… WE DID IT. We managed to prepare the seven colours plate we prayed we could. Tsi.
