Started frequently seeing her due to work in 2025, then I fell in love with it.
Traveling is exciting, it gives me tranquility, it became my new form of self love, therapy and my way to connect with people and the world at an even larger scale.
Traveling started as a form of transportation but it is now my way of having peace simultaneously while serving and spreading love to people. From sitting next to someone on the plane, to meeting new people or experiencing new cultures at my destination, to even interviewing someone I admire. I’m a student to the globe because wherever I go and whatever I experience, I gain knowledge.

Who knows, you might be my next conversation. ✈️🌎

Samoan + Queer ‘til the death of me 😤🥰🌺🌈

As a child of Samoa, I’m no less Samoan nor have I failed at being Samoan because I am too feminine as a male, outspoken, nonreligious, gender nonconforming, sexually open, refuse to sweep things under the proverbial rug or unwilling to protect men’s comfort.

As a queer person, I reject the white, Western queer culture that often expects me to abandon my people, family obligations, or language and history as if queerness exists outside of race, class, family, patriarchy and power dynamics.

It’s a both/and.

I’m a drop in the ocean and the entire ocean in a drop.
I hold individualist and collectivist values.
I’m American and an indigenous Samoan.
I’ve been harmed and caused harm.
I’m my father’s son and my mother’s daughter.
I’m Samoan and queer. Til the death of me.

Voice marked safe from Kehlani’s LA concert.

“I can feel again, won’t be numb again
I can feel again, won’t be dumb again”

My good sis Jess and I were feeling ourselves at Kehlani’s concert. Thank you for going with me @malosismama ily 😘

The BEST surprise at Kehlani’s concert: Seeing Full Moon by the Vocal Bible live for the first time ever was not on our 2026 Bingo Card but what an absolute highlight!!!

Me when the nihilism dissipates:

Fa’afetai tele lava to everyone who made our very first Fiafia Night so special!

You could feel the mana, love, and community in the space. We are so grateful to everyone who showed up, celebrated with us, donated, and supported from afar.

A special thank you to @utahfilmcenter for allowing us to create this space in partnership, we appreciate you!

Every bit of love and support brings us a few steps closer to Samoa as we send a delegation to the So’otaga O Uso this November.

From all of us at Nuanua Collective, fa’afetai, fa’afetai, fa’afetai!

⭐️ MEET YOUR DELEGATES: VIAVIA VE’AVE’A ⭐️

Check out the slides to learn more about Viavia and why attending the So’otaga ‘O Uso is important. The last slide contains actions you can take to support Viavia’s fundraising efforts, to travel on behalf of Nuanua Collective as part of U.T.O.P.I.A. Washington’s Delegation. Our Nuanua Collective delegates represent just a handful of the many Sāmoans living in the U.S. diaspora who are eager to reconnect with their island roots this Fall.

💸 TO DONATE DIRECTLY TO VIAVIA:

🔸Visit nuanua.org/donate and select your donation amount. In the message portion be sure to include VIAVIA VE’AVE’A so the funds can go directly to VIAVIA’s fundraising bucket. (Note: All funds that are not indicated for a specific member will be disbursed amongst the delegation and used for the general pot.)
🔹Attend our Fiafia Night and donate on site on Saturday, September 26th from 6pm - 8pm (doors open at 5pm) at Utah Film Center in downtown Salt Lake City. Register now at nuanuafiafia.eventbrite.com. We will be accepting cash and card payments and have a cash exchange available.

They are just one of the delegation of Nuanua Collective members that will be representing Utah and who are fundraising to participate in the So’otaga ‘O Uso in Apia, Sāmoa. It’s important for our supporters to know who is benefitting from their generosity. Your contributions ensure that our members can partake fully in all that the event has to offer and will help cover crucial and necessary expenses.

The So’otaga ‘O Uso, hosted by the Sāmoan Fa’afafine Association, is a historic global gathering that will bring together Fa’afafine, Fa’atama, and LGBTQIA+ Sāmoans to learn from one another, build stronger relationships, and create a more consolidated international Sāmoan community where collective progress and success is the focus all while celebrating and maintaining our unique cultural foundation and identities.

Contact admin@nuanua.org if you have any questions regarding our delegation.

Live, laugh, Camp Nuanua ❤️‍🔥💫

Thank you to everyone who made our 4th Annual a beautiful success. This program continues to grow as our community does and we are so grateful for every camper who showed up as their whole selves, shared their love and mana and strengthened relationships between one another. How beautiful it is that we have an annual Camp for Queer & Trans Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islanders, we built this together!

Flowers to those who took the lead and made camp a success, Gemini, Joe, Suki, Rena & Saiah, & Saiah’s kickass family who held it down with the kitchen, activities and keeping the good vibes rolling!

My fav way to wrap up summer. ❤️‍🔥🫂
