Purpose, people, and place — when they came together, they created pure magic.

I spent two of the most beautiful months of my life creating meaningful experiences for young minds. What I didn’t expect was how profoundly I would be transformed in the process. Let me try to tell you a small part of that story.

After we decided to pause OWLS, Ana and I were searching endlessly for work we could do together. I remember her saying, almost every day, “Let’s write to a hundred organisations… somewhere out there, there’s a place where we belong.” And she was right. In the end, we did find one.

Little Planet - A name that felt whimsical at first, but turned out to be literal.
A place so breathtaking that words fall short — an island, a community, a living heartbeat of passionate humans who know exactly how to live life with joy, depth, and intention.

The people there made the experience even more extraordinary. They held us, supported us, cared for our wellbeing, and were genuinely invested in our growth. They reminded us of something so simple yet so rare — to keep doing what you love, to sing whenever your heart wants to, to laugh at every silly joke, to play like a child, and to never say no to food.

For the first time, I felt like I had found a tribe that felt like home.

The work itself was purposeful, intentional, and deeply aligned with everything I believe in — the outdoors at the centre, young minds at the heart, and the hope of shaping a kinder world. Watching people pour their soul into every detail, yet still finding joy in the process, moved me.

And the conservation work… it shook me gently, leaving me with a question I’m still carrying:
“What am I truly doing for this Mother Nature who has given me everything?”

This journey became one of the most meaningful chapters of my life — one I hope to return to every year.

The magic of these 3 Ps — purpose, people, and place — has left an imprint on my personal journey that I will cherish forever.
