Happy birthday to my love ❤️ @beccanunns

There are a lot of things I could say about you today, but what I admire most is the strength you carry so quietly.
You’re strong without needing to prove that you are,
always have been. You show up for the people you love, you take care of this family, and somehow you continue to give so much of yourself even when you’re being asked to do more. Amirah and I are lucky to have you.

I hate that I can’t be there today to celebrate you the way I’d like to, you know the 6am “Happy birthday” by Stevie Wonder blasting, ballon’s and decorations all about. But there’s something fitting about today too.

I hope you know how deeply loved and appreciated you are. Happy birthday, Becca.

Then, Now, Forever. ♾️

March had a lot of motion. 🍀

Some of it planned, some of it not. However, I found myself leaning into things instead of avoiding them. Sitting in moments a little longer than usual. Been more aware of time lately, how fast it moves, and how much it matters who you spend it with.

I took more pictures than I normally would. Mostly of babygirl.

I don’t know…March felt different in a good way.

One day she’ll understand, this isn’t about flowers. It’s about foundation.

These flowers will fade. The standard won’t. 💐

A year ago I was holding a baby.
Now I’m watching a little person take shape right in front of me. 🎁

Watching her grow has been the clearest reminder that time doesn’t rush, it reveals.

A friend asked me a few weeks ago what one word I’d use to describe this year. Rooted was the only answer that felt honest.

The year began in a place that felt like failure. A lot shifted at once and my plans fell apart, the pressure piled, and I found myself carrying more than I knew how to name.

There were moments where I questioned my direction, strength, and even myself.
At the same time, I was showing up where I had to…working, providing, learning how to be present in new roles this year, all while quietly navigating the mental and emotional weight of it all.

“Rooted” fits because this season forced me to redefine strength. Not as winning, or performing, or being unshakable…but as staying. Staying present. Staying grounded. Holding my family, my values, and myself together when everything felt like it was trying to pull me apart.
