Since our very first birthday, we have made it a point to celebrate our anniversary along with a fundraiser. In previous years we have used this opportunity to help with coastline cleanups, a friend in need of a new kidney, and equipment for a farmer in Ecuador.

This year, we are aiming to give back to one of our own employees who is about to undergo life-changing surgery. Meet Xander Ryans (they/them), they are an amazing barista and an integral part of the Andytown family. Our goal for our fifth annual fundraiser is to raise the $3,340 needed to pay for their top surgery and recovery. All of the money raised will be sent directly to Xander for their medical bills, and any leftover funds will be used to support long term housing for migrants that are currently in Tijuana trying to seek asylum.

The fundraiser coincides with our yearly birthday raffle, so if you would like to participate, please stop by any of our café locations to purchase raffle tickets. Please also follow the link in our bio to read more about Xander's journey and check out their Gofundme page if you would like to donate that way. We will be celebrating our birthday on March 23rd, 2019, at our 3655 Lawton Street café, where we will raffle off prizes donated by local businesses, artists, and wholesale partners. There will be cake, a serenade, and birthday cake Snowy Plovers too!
