POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

We’re 2 weeks out from our HYROX Doubles Simulator and 9 weeks out from HYROX Nashville, where TWENTY-FIVE of our members will be competing! 🔥

Sleds, wall balls, burpee broad jumps, runs in between, and several other stations. Every rep in this reel was earned in the early mornings, the tough sessions, and the days nobody felt like showing up but everybody did.

Everyone is dialed in and ready to test their fitness. The work is getting done, the confidence is building, and the energy in the gym right now is unmatched. This is what happens when a group pushes each other to be better.

If you’re unsure where to start or looking for a family that pushes you, look no further than 1Step Training.

MLB Draft Combine #4 ✅. It’s hard to put into words how grateful I am to have the opportunity to collaborate with some of the best people I know while working this event! It’s truly an honor to be part of this team and helping with movement assessment for these athletes while playing a small part in their baseball journeys!

In honor of the Western States Endurance Run that started today in California, here are some desert trails from a state nearby. The WSER 100-miler this year should be another exciting one to follow to follow along with, especially with Walmsley and Killian both in it!

MLB Combine 2026 ✅ ⚾️

This is truly an experience I will never take for granted. Getting to spend 2 days around some of the best PTs in the industry while performing movement assessments on the best athletes in the industry. Getting a front row view of the next crop of MLB draft prospects turning their dreams into a reality. It’s an experience like no other.

Such a fun event, and couldn’t be more thankful to be a part of it ⚾️

We exercised and enjoyed our freedom today. A common message spoke during each class was “suffer today and honor those that are fighting overseas for our freedoms we celebrate on a daily basis”.

Our 1Step Family showed up big today. For our fallen soldiers. For themselves. For friends and family.

Many feared this workout, yet they still showed up and conquered Murph. No matter how they scaled or partitioned the workout, the mission was accomplished. That is the meaning of these workouts.

Embrace your fears. Attack them head on. Do it with people who push you to be your best. Why? Because that’s what our soldiers do for us every day. That’s the American standard.

Thank you to all that have served, actively serving, or those who have fallen to protect our freedom we were able to celebrate today.

This year has been tough. Some have suffered injuries, some have struggled with burn out, others have moved away, and some have just moved along with life in new directions. Meanwhile some are playing it patient. Some are keeping the embers hot.

What has been built will never quite be the same…but hope remains.

Nostalgia is okay, but changing paths can lead to growth.

We aren’t done yet. We will be ready when you return. Things may look different, but the heart is still there!

Wow, what a day… after this event, I was asked several times “so did the event go how you expected?”. My answer was “it was more than I expected and then some. Blessed is an understatement.” Not just because of the amount of people that showed up to the event, but mostly for the reason as I watched the culture and community I desired to create, unfold right in front of my eyes.

If you were at this event, you saw the same thing too. Multiple people in the 1Step community stepped up and helped coach, teach, network, and support all the newcomers. My #1 goal of this event was to make sure every single new person that walked in the door felt like they were welcome and appreciated for taking a step outside their comfort zone and walk into a new place with so many new faces.

In this life we are all so blessed to have, there are many times we need to lean on one another, especially in the fitness community. Yesterday it was shown at 1Step Training there is no judgment and no matter your fitness level, you are welcome here ❤️ from the bottom of my heart, thank you to all that helped make this event a dream come true. This is only the beginning, and I am already looking forward to the next event we host. Stronger together 💪🏼

Faculty Spotlight
- Brian Joyce PT, DPT, SCS 📚

Brian received his BS in Exercise Science in 2010 and his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from the University of Evansville. Starting with ProRehab in 2012 as a resident in ProRehab’s Sports Residency Program, he became certified in Level 2 Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), the Functional Movement Screen (FMS), the Y-Balance Test, Level 1 Functional Dry Needling, and certified professional bike fitter.

After completion of the residency program, Brian received his Board Certification as a Sports Certified Specialist in 2014. He continues to work closely with the residency as a mentor and curriculum committee member. He hopes to unite his passion for endurance sports and his sports specialty in PT by pioneering a “pre-rehab” program for endurance athletes in the Evansville community who are looking to refine their movement patterns, optimize performance and reduce their injury risk.

Another great day of biking, friendship, sun, and the lake for the annual Lake Ride! Some rode a century and some hopped in the van early, but the feat was shared by all! Always one of the best days of the year! #cycling
