Tomorrow is October and October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. ❤️💙 I have started a petition for this change in loving memory of our daughter. Please share and sign, it’s linked in my bio. When a child is born alive, the Government of Ontario recognizes the birth with a birth certificate and gives it to the family. When a person dies, their death is recognised with the death certificate by our government and also given to the family. When a child is born still, their death and life are not recognised by our government and families are left with another yet again lifelong heartbreak. There is nothing worse than leaving the hospital without your living baby and no tangible documentation as proof that you were there, you gave birth and your baby was born. Our kids are real, just because they were born still it doesn’t mean they didn’t exist. We, as bereaved parents, families and friends of bereaved parents, demand that our government recognises the stillbirth of our children by honouring us with Stillbirth Certificate. I gave birth to my daughter and she was born still. Her life and the lives of many more stillborn babies deserve to be recognized by Stillbirth Certificate. Stillbirth is still birth. Last Sunday, May 1st, 1200 loss babies names were transcribed onto their very own rose petals and scattered into the Fraser River. Thank you to everyone who submitted your child's name(s) and shared your sacred stories with us. Thank you to the volunteers, Casey - Lucy's mom @living_for_lucy, Liz - Leah and Noelle's mom @lizzylivinglife, Crystal @house.of.wilds, Lori - Leo's mom @louriel, my mum - Hiroko, my husband - Paddy and my trooper children Takeo, Emiko and Keiko. I wouldn't have been able to do this without you (literally I would have cancelled lol), so thank you. Also, I want to thank the sponsors of this event that took the weight of the financial burden off of me and kept us fed and caffeinated. I can look back now over the past almost 5 years and see how on the days that I stomped my feet and resisted my grief and the big emotions... the days I sat and complained and ruminated with the "why me?", "why my daughter, my family?"... the unhealthy habits created from repetitively choosing to numb the pain... the blocking of people, places, and activities that would solicit happiness because of the unworthiness, guilt, shame, and blame I felt and clung to as some sort of loyalty to Ari... It all snowballed into additional pain and self-suffering, sadness, isolation, anger, bitterness... ALL the things! Do you feel this way??? So why do we keep hurting ourselves? My friends, it is not easy, but I encourage you to lean on this group to help you choose you... to choose to seek the good in life... to focus on the positive and what you do have right in front of you... to make the healthy choices that will snowball momentum of healing... to fight for yourself to find joy once again... And to let go, literally drop the shame, the guilt, the unworthiness, and the blame. We are not meant to carry that weight. What is one thing that you can let go of today, to say "no more" to, and to choose to love yourself more?

It's finally time!!! Tomorrow the website will be up and running to begin orders for the shirts. The site will be open until the 19th. US orders can have theirs shipped directly to them. Any international orders will need to mark pick up and then will be shipped via Lil' Bears through FedEx or UPS.
