Zero Setup. Pure Talent. How The HOOKED Roster Really Gets Selected.

@itshollis spots his longtime friend @mattmannshinerunners taking the stage and sets the record straight. Even though Hollis has known Matt for years, he had no idea he was on the lineup. Hollis breaks down how HOOKED operates with zero bias or backroom favors: every single artist is randomly selected by the analytics powerhouse @beforethedata, who also powers all the show's data and metrics. No gatekeepers, no setup, just raw talent and pure data-driven opportunity.

Opportunity does not reward the hesitant. @itshollis asks @bwwmusicva why he chose to take the Hooked stage. Bennett applied on a whim, got in his car, and made the drive. @blueskyartistmgmt delivers the brutal reality from the label perspective. The industry is full of artists who say no to the exact opportunities they should say yes to. @alissamoreno knows that showing up is the absolute baseline of success.

Stop waiting for the industry to discover you in your bedroom. You must put yourself in the room. Outwork the gatekeepers by taking the trip, demanding the mic, and forcing them to pay attention. Leverage belongs exclusively to the creators who execute. Say yes and take the room.

THE MUSIC BUSINESS. 🪝 The old model is dead. @itshollis and the HOOKED panel just laid down the absolute reality of the 2026 music environment. Chad’s right: you don’t need anything but a phone, an internet connection, and maybe a van to take your sound to the world. We might sound like a broken record telling you to get on TikTok, but the proof is in the data. There are countless artists breaking out of their bedrooms just by singing into their phones. If you’ve got real talent, the world is waiting — stop crying about the industry and start connecting. Are you using your phone to build an empire, or still waiting for a record deal? Drop your verdict in the comments. 👇

CONNECT OR DIE. ⚡ The HOOKED panel just dropped a massive truth bomb on David Slayton @warplayofficial. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what you’re doing if you can’t go on the internet and connect with an audience. @itshollis pointed out the unfortunate reality that we are forced to focus on TikTok and Instagram, but @chadhillydilly shut down the excuses instantly: “If you’re crying about that, don’t be an artist.” This is the new world. It is a connection economy. You either adapt and build your audience, or you get left behind. Are you building a real connection online, or still complaining about the algorithm? Drop your verdict in the comments. 👇

THE UNTOUCHABLE MINDSET. 👑 Lance Goodman, Hollis, and Chad Hillard just broke down the ultimate power move on the HOOKED stage. You are only uncancellable if you refuse to care about the noise. Once you stop seeking approval, you become untouchable. Stop performing for the crowd and start building your legacy. Are you playing for the critics or playing for yourself? Drop your verdict below.

SMOKE AND MIRRORS. 💨 @chadhillydilly just tore down the entire illusion on the HOOKED stage at @the_eighth_room. Forget the executives and the gatekeepers. The music business is mostly smoke and mirrors. The only metric that actually matters is your raw connection with your audience. Everyone else can shut up. Do you agree with Chad, or do you still need the corporate machine to truly scale? Drop your verdict in the comments. 👇

YOU HAVE THE VOICE. NOW, MAKE THEM LISTEN. 🎙 @chadhillydilly just dropped a cold, hard truth for @johnmajormusic on the HOOKED stage. In an industry full of artists with major deals who can’t sing, having a genuine, undeniable voice is your greatest competitive advantage. When you can actually sing, you stand out. The path to connection is through a video — you have the tools, you have the voice, now it is time to capture the audience. Are you using your talent to cut through the noise, or still trying to fit the mold? Drop your verdict in the comments. 👇

YOU DON’T NEED SPOTIFY. 🚫
@itshollis just laid down the cold, hard economic truth on the HOOKED stage. The reality is simple. You are never going to make any real money there, and thinking you absolutely need them to survive is the biggest lie independent artists are fed. The panel might be completely divided on this one, but the numbers do not lie. Is streaming officially a dead end for independent artists, or is it still a necessary evil?

We need the timeline to lock in a side. Drop your verdict in the comments. 👇
