The doors to @worthingtonprofitness sadly closed last night and while I was only there a short time compared to most, it became a second home. I’ve seen a lot of people post their PRs and I didn’t think I had any worthy to note - sometimes it’s hard to remember that small progress is still progress. Longevity in any sport is celebrating the small wins, not just the milestones. I didn’t win any major shows here nor did I even compete in many, but I did:

-prep for my first Arnold
-get kinda jacked
-learn a million new events
-got better at some old ones
-hit a few overhead PRs
-give myself a shin scar
-and finally conquered that godforsaken circus dumbbell

What isn’t shown here are the people that made this gym so great. When I moved here a year ago I didn’t expect to be welcomed with such open arms. It isn’t always easy being one of, or the only woman coming into a male dominated group in a strength sport, but every one of them taught me something. Even outside of strongman the people in this gym are so quick to stop and cheer you on, even if they have no idea what you’re doing. It was an amazing atmosphere and one I can only hope to have on my next chapter❤️

Words I cannot even begin to describe how much of an amazing, supportive, and just a huge community @worthingtonprofitness has been for me.

From meeting all types of people through the ups and downs of life to supporting the people who needed a little extra push in the right direction, this gym I am proud to call a home.

I cant tag everyone but you guys at this gym have been the most amazing group of friends and family I could ever ask for!

Even though we are parting ways, I will always have a special place in my heart. Much love from your boy locked in Luke! Until next time one final PR on my favorite lift…the benchpress. Enjoy.
