What’s your main go to when you’re tryin to hit a lick?

🚗 v.🚶‍♂️ (A or B)

To be honest, I definitely have leaned more into subject stops as I’ve progressed. I like being able to visually see my subject and plan for the unknowns which come with a jump out. If they run. There is no pursuit policy constraints. The only thing that matters is your physicality and preparation.

Traffic stops are great. But let’s be honest. We aren’t talking interdiction here. In high crime areas they will typically flee if anything worth getting is in the car. I’m not say that is always true. But more often than not in my experience they run. With a restricted pursuit policy. I just got tired of watching good cars drive away.

You can always get a bit tricksy with parking lots and driveways, but we’ll touch on that later.

Stay cool! 🤙🏻

To the cop who used to have that fire—get it back.
Remember why you started. Remember the feeling of making that good stop, solving that case, finding the gun, catching the wanted guy, or simply knowing you made a difference on your shift.
Don’t let the bad days, the paperwork, the politics, or the bullshit take that from you.
Get back in the gym. Get back in training. Get back in the car. Get back to learning. Get back to hunting for the work.
You didn’t put on the badge to sit around and wait.
Stay hungry. Stay sharp. Stay proactive.
