Last night’s Wine & Words reminded me that showing up comes in different forms. Some pulled up. Some bought tickets but couldn’t make it. Others sent gifts just to show luvv. Your support counted—even when your seat was empty. 💯

Don’t get so busy looking for somebody who isn’t there that you overlook somebody standing right in front of you. One person shows up? Give that person your best. Keep building. ✊🏾

THE CREATIVE ROOM: VOLUME I.

Nothing short of amazing.

We sold out, the room was full, and somehow the right people found their way to each other.

The Creative Room was created with a simple idea in mind: sometimes the opportunity, resource, introduction, or connection you’re looking for is already sitting in the room — you just have to know who’s there.

I want to see more creatives well-connected, well-supported, well-funded, and given real opportunities to turn what they create into something lucrative.

And sometimes, that starts as simply as knowing each other.

Volume I showed me exactly what this room can be.

A special thank you to @hbganttcenter and MODA @meccaofdigiarts for providing a space intentionally built for community, creativity, and connection — and for making spaces like this accessible to the creative community.

And a very special thank you to Angel Butler, one of the architects behind creating and sustaining spaces like this in Charlotte. Your support, resources, and commitment to bringing people together do not go unnoticed.

Been following her on IG for a minute. She’s been a huge inspiration in showing me what’s possible in the spoken-word space.

I was rapping and singing poor
Now I spread the WORD from charlotte to Singapore
My cup runneth over it’s crazy

The Holy Spirit got me praying and thinking more

Yesterday morning for my birthday it was just me and The LORD. I took some time to reflect on my life high of the Lowes celebration, and the disappointment. I reflect on my life on the goodness of the LORD.
