London - @behindrestaurant - ⭐️

Whenever someone asks for a standout dining experience in London, @behindrestaurant from @andy.beynon is always near the top of my list.

Back for Saturday lunch with the full wine pairing (and a glass of Krug to start, naturally). Between the fresh scallop with that intense kipper sauce, the black pudding with caviar, and the warm brioche bun made for sauce wiping, the fish cooking here is simply best in class.

And yes—the iconic black olive & chocolate dessert is back on the menu. 🍫🫒

10/10 every single time.

Icelandic menu at Darby’s (available only from 10-12 Sep) - fav course would be their lamb with crowberry jus

A great casual meal at the Coal Office - Mediterranean restaurant and I’m obsessed with their mains like stone bass and grilled octopus rice - super yummm and do not miss their breads with dips.

Since it’s the third year anniversary with my partner, we went for the Fat Duck and followed by the Hind’s Head in Bray. Def been on my list for the longest time and so worth the wait.

The creativity from this tasting menu alone is just incredible despite it being quite a trek to get there.

The Hind’s Head is a one Michelin star pub that’s just one minute walk away from the Fat Duck. They are super well known for their perfectly cooked scotch eggs and triple cooked chips.

My go-to for hotpot 🥘 love to order their chicken broth and the spicy version

A one night culinary journey at Counter Culture:
@behindrestaurant x @pavyllon_london

There was so much to enjoy across the menu, but
@andy.beynon Chef Andy’s scallop course stayed with me,the sweetness of the scallop, the depth of the smoked kipper and a delicate savoury finish. The raspberry dessert was just as memorable: bright at first, then gently lifted by herbs and ginger. Light, beautifully balanced, and an elegant way to end the meal.

The service made the evening lovelier still. We were a little pressed for time, and the team looked after us with such warmth, patience and care. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

When two culinary forces come together behind the counter 🔥 last night @andy.beynon from @behindrestaurant joined Executive Chef Benjamin Ferra Y Castell and the @pavyllon_london team for the latest edition of Counter Culture - a series where we invite Londons’s leading chefs to join us to create a one time only menu.

Both Michelin-starred restaurants presented a menu that celebrated the very best culinary innovation, and finest flavours of the season.

A really decent one Michelin starred restaurant in Hackney. The main focus is the seafood ingredient here and the creativity of combining different ingredients is just WOW! For instance, instead of using sweet ingredients like chocolates for desserts, one of the desserts used basil and other herbs which was super refreshing and unique.

My fav course would be the prawn that’s also served with prawn broth and the chef ensured that every part of the prawn can be eaten. The prawn head itself was made into a prawn toast, which is an interesting take.

I went there for the Saturday lunch 10 course tasting menu which is only £125/pp (excl. wine pairings) and overall it was a really great experience!

An incredible amount of money raised once again for @leukaemiauk and the wonderful work they do to continue to find a cure for this horrendous cancer.
