So here it is, The 1998-99 @therealjp 154cm pre-release. This rare, blue base is a prototype compared to the mainline orange and green base, including the rare blue (The prototype is actually 4.4oz lighter than the normal, main release). I had the opportunity to ask JP a little about the background to the board and its graphic. Here’s what he had to say “The idea actually came from a painting that Roberta did for me that had 3 snowflakes on it. They were super geometrical in style. They were blue on a pink background. I wanted the board to be pink with blue snowflakes as I was stoked on that old Peter D23 rainbow board with pink. They thought the pink was too much and decided to do it blue on blue. Also they had an ice sculpture dude carve them up then the light the sculptures up and they took pix of the sculptures. They sublimated those pix on to the og board for the graphic”. Dave Krystof @keep_me_wild has been ripping Seymour and everywhere wether skating or snowboarding. Dave is just an ATV he rips anything he rides. Always a pleasure to hang and ride with. Here is Dave ripping Seymour back in the 90’s the Mute (Weddle) shifty was a staple trick of the time.

Roberta Rodger (Walker) @beingberta has always been the girl in charge. And by in charge I mean she has always been a legendary leading part of the Seymour kids family. A true pioneer in women’s snowboarding all along the way. Here in 1997 she is blasting at least 10’ over @jeffkeetley showing huge respect on the legendary @mtseymour monster Quarter pipe @snowrideadventures Jorli Ricker spent days sculpting and perfecting for us all to have some fun on. 🥰✌🏻
