(English version follows ⬇️) Ještě jeden narozeninový dárek mi dorazil 😇😍🥰 Tenhle ke mně putoval z druhého konce světa 😮❤ Od mé úplně první @fibreshare partnerky Bels @hooked.booked.crooked, se kterou se z nás staly opravdu dobré kamarádky ❤ Moc moc děkuju a na předení těchto česanců se moc těším! 😍 Nezačít zrovna nový projekt, ta červená variace s hedvábím už by asi byla na kolovrátku 😇😍🧶❤ A to mýdlo nádherně voní! ▫️▫️▫️ I recieved one more gift for my birthday 😇😍🥰 This one came to me from across the globe 😮❤ From my very first @fibreshare partner Bels @hooked.booked.crooked who became my really good friend ❤ Thank you so so much and I so look forward to spinning these! 😍 If I wouldn't just start a new spinning project, the red variation with silk would probably already be on my wheel 😇😍🧶❤ And the soap smells amazing!

Community. What does it mean to be a part of one? What does it mean when you aren't? That question has confronted makers of colour across all the various fibre crafts and the last few months have been a time of reflection and incubation. I hold space for those those have shared and bled. Your sacrifices are many. The demands on you great. We are all beneficiaries of your work and should recognise you as such. When the blinkers are off, awareness brings forth a torrent of emotions that are often suppressed not because they are denied but because it cocoons one from feeling and experiencing the intensity of the pain. That's why I hold no judgement towards the BIPOC who have self preserved. Remained quietly supportive and present without coming to the attention of the wider community. I see you. *************************************** The images here are a snapshot of how community has been represented to me. The one that has emerged from the embers. The authenticity brought by individuals. Threads of connection. Recognition of the impact of ignoring what lies beneath.  For a long time and since in spaces where none of this work has been acknowledged, it was commonplace for the most inane of questions or search for advice was ignored, bypassed or simply ghosted. Even buying from the 2nd hand market was a daily struggle, because even though I am passionate about reusing, upcycling, recycling but it was automatically assumed what my means were. I was left without equipment trying to buy from the "community". The one that falsely claimed inclusivity but my experience and that of many many others was quite different. What a relief to be able to say these things to each other without immediate vilification but validation that the struggle is real.  See the loud call out suddenly made us visible. And how wonderful that has been. Conversations richer, deeper, opportunity for learning, growing, sharing and building collective wisdom. The wheel that was loaned so I could continue to fall in love with a craft and develop a skill my ancestors had that was lost to me because of slavery, indenture and colonisation.

(🇬🇧 English version follows ⬇️) Tak jsem myslela, že vám dám dnes společenskou fotku z pletení v kavárně s @vlnenesestry, ale myslíte, že mě napadlo ji udělat? 🙈😁 A s ponožkama jsem nakonec nepohla, protože jsem si troufla na krajku Airgeadu a světe div se, snad ani nebudu muset párat 😁 Takže si @stanislavryznar na svůj pár ještě chvíli počká 😇 ▫️▫️▫️ I thought I'd have a nice social picture from knitting night with @vlnenesestry in Prague tonight, but do you think I remembered to take the pic? 🙈😁 And I didn't even add to these socks, 'cause I was brave enough for the lace part of Airgead aaand it seems there's no need for frogging, yay 😁 So @stanislavryznar has to wait for his new pair a bit longer 😇

(english version follows ⬇) Omluvte nitky čouhající z úvazů, asi ze mě nikdy nebude ta správná instagramerka (🙈😂), ale bezpečnost přadýnka je u mě prostě na prvním místě 😎❤ Jinak mám ale z příze velikou radost! Ne, že by se mi česanec původně nelíbil, ale ta růžová na mě byla nějak až moc výrazná, zastiňovala ostatní krásné barvy. Teď je stále výrazným a důležitým prvkem, ale ostatní barvy teď taky vynikají a pro mě osobně jsou ty jemnější přechody mnohem nositelnější 😇😍 Přemýšlím o pleteném nákrčníku.. 🤔😍❤ 70 % Merino, 30 % Alpaka, ručně barveno od @lovebirdlane, česanec byl jedním z mnoha z mého prvního @fibreshare balíčku od Bels @hooked.booked.crooked ❤ Excuse the ties looking out, please, I'll probably never be the true instagramer (🙈😂), but for me, security of the skein just comes first 😎❤ Other than that I'm very happy how the yarn turned out! I liked the roving from the beginning, but the pink was kind of too bright for me, it made the other beautiful colors stay in shadow. Now it's still bright and important part, but other colors are showing as well and the more subtle look is more wearable for me personally 😇😍 Now I'm thinking about knitted cowl.. 🤔😍❤ 70% Merino, 30% Alpaca, handdyed by @lovebirdlane, roving was one of many from my first @fibreshare package from Bels @hooked.booked.crooked ❤

(english version follows ⬇) Než se vrhnu na předení na další svetr, chtěla jsem něco malého na odreagování. Česanec z mého prvního balíčku @fibreshare se jevil ideální, obzvlášť vzhledem k faktu, že jsem toho z dokonalého balíku od Bels @hooked.booked.crooked ještě moc nezpracovala, zatímco další balíček, z aktuálního kola, je už na cestě ke mně 😍😍😍 Na kolovrátku mám tedy směs 70 % Merina a 30 % alpaky, ručně barvený od @lovebirdlane 😍 Before I jump onto another sweater spin, I wanted little something in between. Roving from my first @fibreshare package seemed perfect for that purpose, even more because of fact, that I didn't spin much from the perfect package from Bels @hooked.booked.crooked yet, while package from the current round is already on its way to me 😍😍😍 On my wheel is 70% Merino 30% Alpaca blend, handdyed by @lovebirdlane 😍

(english version follows ⬇) 🐑 Tour de Fleece - den 21 + shrnutí 🐏 Tak tady je moje letošní Tour ❤❤❤ Pro někoho málo, pro někoho dost, úhel pohledu. Já nestihla třetí z hlavních cílů, ale i přesto jsem s výsledkem spokojená. Komplet metry spočítám, až bude vše dokončené, ale zatím je to tedy 1 904 m a celkem 440 g. Poznala jsem letos spoustu nových zajímavých a inspirativních lidí z celého světa, za což jsem té naší krásné vlněné komunitě nesmírně vděčná ❤❤❤ Mám hotové ponožky ze směsi Bluefaced Leicestera s Tussah hedvábím od @stefiswolle, kterou jsem barvila barvami @ashford_wheels_looms, hotový háčkovaný šátek Artfully Simple Angled Scarf od @mooglyblog z jednonitky Merina barveného @rockandstringyarn, spředený první z pokladů mého prvního @fibreshare balíčku od @hooked.booked.crooked, vyzkoušela jsem si tradiční způsob předení lnu i nitku čistého hedvábí (obojí Ashford) a hlavně jsem konečně dopředla tu duhu od @filzlinge, která mi trčela na kolovrátku už od března! Během Tour jí přibyla skoro polovina 😎 Teď trochu oddechu a za týden hurá na #campspin15 😍😍😍 🐑 Tour de Fleece - day 21 + summary 🐏 So here's my this year's Tour ❤❤❤ Not enough for some, many for others, it's about the point of view. I didn't meet third of my main goals, yet still I'm very pleased with my outcome. I'll count the final length once everything's finished, but so far there's 1 904 m and totally 440 g spun. I "met" many new so interesting and inspiring people from all over the world this round, I'm deeply grateful to our beautiful wool community for this ❤❤❤ I finished my socks made of Bluefaced Leicester Tussah Silk blend from @stefiswolle, that I dyed using @ashford_wheels_looms dyes, I also crocheted Artfully Simple Angled Scarf by @mooglyblog from my singles yarn of Merino, handdyed by @rockandstringyarn, I spun first of my first @fibreshare treasures from @hooked.booked.crooked, I tried traditional way of spinning linen and spun pure Silk (both Ashford) and most importantly, I finished the rainbow from @filzlinge, that was stuck on my wheel since March! There was almost half of it spun during Tour 😎 Now to relax a bit and hurray to #campspin15 in a week! 😍😍😍

(english version follows ⬇) Zakončuji a zapošívám konce všech čerstvě dopletených ponožek, zatímco si pochutnávám na výborném čaji z mého @fibreshare balíčku (díky, Bels @hooked.booked.crooked 😘) z geniálního hrnečku od @knitcrate 😊 Tomu říkám skvělá odpočinková neděle ❤❤❤ I'm finishing and weaving in ends of all my freshly knitted socks, while enjoying great tea from my @fibreshare package (thank you, Bels @hooked.booked.crooked 😘) in the perfect mug from @knitcrate 😊 That's lovely relaxing Sunday indeed ❤❤❤

(čeština v předchozím příspěvku, použila jsem už moc slov 😂👍) When you get two perfect packages in your hands in a single day, your emotions get behind words ❤ My Camp Spin 15 kit from Sherrill at @the1764shepherdess will be in another separate post, here's my huge totally unbelievable @fibreshare package from Bels at @hooked.booked.crooked 😱 I feel like my FS partner went crazy. Or I died and got to fiber heaven, there's no other explanation 🙈 I'll try to put all parts into stories with some notes, but it will take some time 😇 Since night opening till now (and for some time to come) I feel extremely happy, grateful and blessed with this woollen bomb ❤❤❤ My thanks belong to Zuzka at @tamabi_fiberarts, too, her posts were the last piece to convince me to give FibreShare a try! And of course to the ladies behind the whole thing, standing behind this amazing experience and doing so much for the worldwide fiber community ❤ This package belongs with no doubts to #fibresharetribe 🎖🎖🎖 There wasn't a single piece I wouldn't be "aaahing" over by excitement and my partner really did her best with both luxurious content and great color choices that were exactly to my taste. And she surprised me with totally unexpected pieces, too! (Spindle with a leather whorl I've never seen before and cannot wait to try it out, to name at least one!) ❤ Huge thank you, Bels, from the bottom of my heart for all you did for me ❤❤❤
