Conscious Route is a rapper, MC, poet and singer-songwriter who was born in London before moving to Edinburgh over a decade ago.

In 2020 he unleashed the collaborative - ‘Lost Routes’ album, alongside producer True Note - The album received a 4-star review in The Scotsman and picked out for a ‘track of the week' on BBC Introducing Scotland. In addition to this - his last two releases ‘Trojan’ and his feature on ‘Dragons Jaw’ by ‘Post Coal Prom Queen’ were named track of the week on BBC Introducing Scotland and his Sensory EP from August was a collaboration with producer Toni Smoke – which saw 2 tracks receive worldwide airplay on Rapstation 365 – Radio station of legendary Chuck D.

‘Protest EP is a thundering blend of contemporary sounds and old-school execution showcasing Conscious Route’s diversity and versatility as an artist and a willingness to embrace more cutting-edge production styles while not compromising his individuality or past credentials. The EP is produced fellow Edinburgh-based beat-maker - Crink and cuts by iconic UK turntablist, DJ JabbaThaKut on the track ‘C4’.

Never one to conform to industry trends or expectations – Protest EP is another heavy addition to Conscious Route’s diverse and progressive back catalogue which he looks to continue to add to through 2021 and beyond…

Was so good to be back at one of my favourite clubs last night to celebrate their 30th birthday.
The Rhumba Club is a Scottish clubbing institution and the infamous Zammo is an original Acid House general like no other
😎❤️
Happy Birthday Rhumba! 🎂🎈🍾🥳

We're thrilled to announce a special guest who'll be joining us for our Hidden Door set on Sunday 19th September! ✨

@conscious_route is a rapper originally from London who moved to Edinburgh over a decade ago. Last year, he released the critically acclaimed album 'Lost Routes' with producer @truenoteonthebeats and has worked with countless other incredible acts such as @postcoalpromqueen, @kryptik_riddimz, @monosapiensmusic and @nicolataylormusic.

Conscious Route will be joining us onstage for the live premiere of our next single at @hiddendoorarts. This track has been a long time in the making, so we're very excited to debut it live before the release of our EP in October.

Fancy a last minute ticket? Let us know if you need one of our discount codes! 😍
