This spec ad for @saucony_eu started with one question for two runners: What Does Running Mean To Me? Isaiah and Danielle answered it in the studio that morning, then we took to the Shoreditch streets in the afternoon to capture it in motion.

A superb FA Cup performance from the Abbotts against National League opposition.

Harry Beautyman put Dagenham ahead early in the second half, before substitute Jaden Ogwuazor levelled things on 75 minutes. Abbey then thought they’d won it late on, only for the goal to be ruled out by the tightest of offside calls.

Probably a little unfortunate not to have finished the job there and then, but a 1–1 draw means we do it all again in the replay.

A proper cup tie at Capershotts.

Opening-night fightback falls short at Capershotts 💚🤍

Waltham Abbey found themselves 3–0 down at the break against Potters Bar Town, but second-half goals from Lewis Taaffe and captain Sam Robbins brought the Abbotts back to within one.

Abbey were then reduced to ten men before Daniel Tagoe sealed a 4–2 victory for the Scholars deep into stoppage time.

A dramatic start to the Southern League Division One Central season. The full gallery is now live — link in bio 📸

This time last year, Waltham Abbey hosted their nearest EFL neighbour Leyton Orient for an extremely memorable preseason friendly, where the Abbotts took a surprise lead before eventually losing 3-1.

In February they met again for a mid-season friendly, and despite the difference in league levels, Waltham Abbey once again went toe to toe before eventually falling to the same scoreline.

In less than 24 hours they will meet again - I’m gutted that I won’t be there, but I know it’s going to be a brilliant occasion and I wish Marc and his new look team all the very best!

This is not the video I was hoping to make this week, but here it is.

Waltham Abbey’s promotion hopes came to a painful end as Stanway Rovers came from behind to win 2–1 in the Isthmian League North Division Play-Off Semi Final at Capershotts. Starting the game with key players Bradley Robinson and Aaron Eyoma missing through injury, Abbey then lost Declan Rydings and Amrit Bansal-McNulty in the first half, making an already difficult night even tougher.

Kai Brown gave the hosts hope with his 31st goal of the season before the game turned after Kieron Cathline’s second-half dismissal. Stanway levelled through Nat Mardell’s penalty before Orlando Bethmann struck the winner with just over 10 minutes remaining.

Abbey threw everything forward late on, including their young keeper joining the attack, but couldn’t find a way back as their season came to a frustrating end.

This is a small selection of images from my gallery of almost 200 which you can find on my website.

Tough day for The Abbotts, with a seemingly good goal chalked off for offside & Stow brilliantly converting their only major chance to take the points.
