IMAGINE SPENDING MORE TIME SHOOTING AND LESS TIME TROUBLESHOOTING. If you’ve ever spent thousands of dollars on a rifle, spent countless hours preparing for that first range trip, and walked away disappointed in its performance, you know exactly what I’m talking about. There are few things more frustrating than a rifle that doesn’t shoot as well as you expected, especially when you don’t know why. People occasionally ask why we spend so much time on seemingly insignificant details during the rifle-building process. This is why. Swipe through all five photos and look at the last one. This brand-new 7 PRC produced one three-shot group followed by two five-shot groups, all fired consecutively during its very first range session. 13 shots. One flyer. Three tight groups with essentially the same point of impact. No load development. Brand-new barrel. That’s the kind of performance we’re pursuing. Every component, every measurement, every machining operation, and every seemingly insignificant detail is another opportunity to eliminate a potential source of inconsistency. Will every little detail independently make a measurable difference in group size? Maybe not. But that’s not the point. We leave no stone unturned because we want to give our customers the best possible foundation for consistent, repeatable precision. We do the extra work so you can spend less time questioning your equipment and more time enjoying what you purchased it to do. A beautiful rifle is nice. A rifle that performs exceptionally well right from the beginning is even better. That’s the experience we’re working to deliver at Stratton Custom Rifles. Send this to someone who’s experienced the frustration of a rifle that just wouldn’t shoot.

What can I say, there is just something about carbon that sets a build off. Another lightweight rig headed to the woods soon. An @impactprecisionshootingllc NBK Long Action Ultralite, paired up with a @benchmarkbarrels Carbon Sendero 7mm 8 twist blank @ 20”, chambered in house with a @mansonprecisionreamers 7PRC reamer, set in a @mannersstocks Pro Hunter in Scorched Earth, finished off with a @trigger.tech Special and @grayopscnc Hunter DBM. This thing weighs in at 6.8 lbs, 7.2 lbs with the @mackbrosofficial Zenith K. Can’t wait to hear the hunting stories this season. Check us out at www.okieprecision.com

Wrapping up proof firing on a fresh batch of Cohort builds heading to @ssoutfitters this morning! He’ll have some of the new carbon versions as well as the steels in all flavors, and they’ve been shooting lights out. Might be a pretty good excuse to get over to Levelland this week! #wtorifles #cohortrifle #ssoutfitters #6creedmoor #22creedmoor

Mule deer down! Doug filled his Washington deer tag a a beautiful mature buck. Doug set out with a goal to harvest a mule deer this season. After working his ass off he found what he was looking for. Hunting and finding success on mule deer in Washington seems to be more difficult than it used to be. But if you grind it out and work hard it’s still possible to notch that tag. Strong work Doug! A well deserved success! THIS IS HOW A CUSTOM RIFLE SHOULD START. Brand-new 7 SAUM, first trip to the range, and three shots through essentially the same hole at 100 yards. There’s something so satisfying about seeing a rifle perform this well right out of the gate. A true custom rifle is far more than a collection of premium components. Though all our rifles start with the best parts, this performance only comes consistently when they are assembled precisely with care. When you invest in a premium custom rifle, you shouldn’t have to spend your first several range sessions wondering whether the rifle itself is capable of exceptional precision. That’s one of the reasons we put so much emphasis on component selection, precision machining, action preparation, stock bedding, and the countless details that go into building a complete rifle system. The goal is to give our customers a rifle that starts with a strong foundation, allowing them to spend more time shooting and less time troubleshooting. Of course, three shots don’t establish a rifle’s complete precision capability. But they can certainly make for an encouraging first range session! A beautiful rifle is nice. A beautiful rifle that performs is what we’re after. If you’re considering a custom rifle, visit the link in our bio and select “Start Your Rifle Build” to learn about our process, pricing, and available options.

Putting the 7mm SAW and 165gr @normaammo Bondstrike projectiles to the test in New Mexico. Stellar bullet performance on the two bucks we took with them, this one at 507 and another at 875. We’ve finalized our accuracy testing and will be offering the Bondstrike as a standard load offering in the SAW this fall! #wtorifles #7mmsaw #bondstrike #pronghornhunting

Our muzzleloaders are ACCURATE!! If you have a pile of points, we highly recommend looking into muzzleloader units in states around the west that give you an edge in the draw. 600-700yd accuracy capability with scopes and 300-400yd capabilities with our open sight options. These things are INSANE! đŸ”„ . #moarifles #trulycustom #sendit
