A design proposal for the SDA Lobby. Possible solution to lack of staircase usage. (1) Extension of stairs by the turnstiles. (2) Curvilinear partitions to provide a break in rigidness of the lobby’s existing geometries. Translucent recycled plastic or wood is the material of choice.

💡 Outwiths Faces of Innovative STEM Youths: Solving Transportation Problems with Architecture

The Node is the grand winner of an interschool design competition in the Philippines entitled Projéto. ✏️📐📃

The challenge was to improve the commuting facilities of the country's capital. 🚌

The Node aims to be a focal point for pedestrian and vehicular circulation at Ermita, Manila and strives to offer efficiency and access to modes of transport. 📍

WorldBex Projeto Ideas & Design Competition 2021- Intermodal Transportations: Revolutionizing Metro Manila’s Commuting Facilities

Grand Winning Entry:
THE NODE: An Open Type Intermodal Transportation System

The proposal embodies a deconstructivist approach in planning and designing the structure together with its sub-spaces found in the interior. The limited use of walls and barriers allows the occupants of the terminal to experience areas of each level profoundly— hence, an open- type plan.

The Node aims to provide efficiency and access to transportation networks that would serve as a focal point to pedestrian and vehicular circulation within the area. This would grant easy access to modes of transportation that circulate to multiple destinations in and out of the metro. Along with access to transportation, it would also grant people shared spaces to generate community development by amplifying the existing cultural context in the site.

The project highlights the essence of what a node is and contains these main programs:

- Bus Terminal
- Jeepney Terminal
- UV Express Terminal
- LRT Terminal
- Ferry Terminal
- Carpark
- Cultural Hall

The Chaffelle

Exploring on plants as the main parti of the architecture.

The studio was done entirely online, and pose a lot of challenges. One, the site location is limited to what is accessible.
