I’ve said yes to a lot of things for a good cause. Pulling a plane is definitely one of the heavier commitments. ✈️💛

Pull a Plane for Education brings people together to support WSU Tech students and preserve B-29 Doc’s incredible aviation history. For me, both sides of that mission are personal.

Dr. Sheree Utash has been a mentor of mine since I was 24. She’s someone I’ve looked up to for years, and WSU Tech holds a special place in my heart. Through scholarships, hands-on learning and innovative paths into meaningful careers, they help students turn knowledge into opportunity.

Aviation also runs in my family. Amelia Earhart and Charles Lindbergh are cousins of mine, and my maternal grandfather was a pilot and one of the youngest Army Rangers. That family history makes supporting an event that connects aviation, education and opportunity especially meaningful to me.

Grateful for Sheree, this team and a community willing to put some muscle behind education.

As we celebrate #America250 we think of the men and women who have made an incredible impact on our nation by their creativity, endurance, dedication and hard work. Through world wars, economic downturns and even pandemics, aviation and aerospace has left an incredible mark on the story of our country.

We are grateful for the country and freedom we have, and wish you and your family a very safe and Happy Independence Day. #America #WhereDreamsTakeFlight

For Ben Sauceda, Wichita State was about access and purpose. Grants helped the Wichita native earn his degree with minimal debt and focus on making an impact. That path led him to nonprofit work at the @ksaviationmuseum, where he plans to stay after graduation, supporting future STEAM students. His advice is simple and sincere: try hard things. #ShockerGrad 🎓🌾

Fun fact: In a dance battle, his first move is the Sprinkler. Ben and a child, both wearing yellow sports jerseys, are sitting in a crowded arena.

Today we took Lawrence Elementary 4th grade teacher Breanna Cox and her students on a free all expenses paid field trip to the Kansas Aviation Museum.

The kids were able to explore, learn about the Air Capital, get interactive with the planes and equipment at the museum, treated to a free lunch from Doc Green’s and hopefully know there are others in the community rooting them on.

Also a big shout out to Breanna Cox for the wonderful work she does in the classroom. I cannot stress how important our teachers are to our community and kids.

Thank yous are needed for:
• Wichita Public Schools Foundation for covering the busing for the students
• Ben Sauceda and the Kansas Aviation Museum for waiving admission for the students
• Devin Slane and Doc Greens for the lunches for the kids and teachers
• And to all educators in general. I so appreciate what you do and go thru
• Anybody who helped me out with this and make an idea I had become a reality

If you’ve never been to the Kansas Aviation Museum, please add it to your list. It’s such a cool gem with so much history.

Seeing these kids faces light up meant more to me than honestly any food review I’ve ever done.

I’m now looking to lock down another classroom and teacher to giveaway an all expenses paid trip to Exploration Place.

Too fun to pass on this trend. Meet most of the team that makes it happen at KAM. #WhereDreamsTakeFlight

Several of our KAM Board members, Strategic Growth Manager, Aubrey Young and KAM President; Ben Sauceda attended the 40th anniversary of National Institute for Aviation Research, Wichita State University Monday. NIAR is leading the way in aviation and aerospace research and development.

It was great to have Senator Jerry Moran and Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy in Wichita to celebrate this accomplishment. #aviation #aerospace #Wichita #Kansas #WhereDreamsTakeFlight
