Inspired by Gian Lorenzo Bernini’s sculpture “Apollo and Daphne,” Ben Needham-Wood’s pas de deux brings the Greek myth of unrequited love to life, telling a story in which both characters are victims of their circumstances. For this year’s Dancers’ Choice, company artist Lucia is staging Ben’s choreography on Sydney and Michael, highlighting how each artist brings their own interpretation to the movement while staying true to the original intention of the piece. Boulder Ballet is heading to Grand Lake! Tomorrow, October 10, we’re bringing [In]Human to Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre for a special one-night-only performance! Featuring choreography by Jorma Elo, Natasha Adorlee, and Ben Needham-Wood, this program explores what makes us uniquely human through movement, connection, and creativity.
