Directing a movie with your brothers… what could possibly go wrong? 😅

Luke, Ben, and I had the privilege of bringing DRUMMER BOY to life together. Turns out, working with your brothers is pretty much what you’d expect…but also the sweetest of experiences 💝

DRUMMER BOY hits theaters November 6! Grab your tickets through the link in my bio. 🎟️🥁

Finally getting around to catching up on here and sharing some impressions from the wonderful @168filmfestival by Atlanta, Georgia!
It was such a blast and honor to represent our film ‘Fresno’ for which I was blessed to be nominated for alongside 7 more nominations for the film!
Spending the week with our Executive producer and screen writer James Beeler @iwritescreenplays (who took home 7 Awards altogether!) and the beautiful Gina @ginalenee who was also nominated for best score was a treat.

Learnt new things, saw old friends, made new friends, talked film 24/7, got to see an incredible one man play about C.S. Lewis with the extraordinary Phil Crowley and a preview of the absolute stunning movie @drummerboythemovie and so much more.

It’s so beautiful to see how God is using all these filmmakers to tell uplifting stories that point to Him.

Drummer Boy The Movie, coming out November 6th, is a story that follows two brothers driven onto opposite sides of the American Revolution—one fighting for the British and the other joining the American forces—alongside an enslaved woman and a divided family all searching for freedom.

Directed by Ben and Joel Smallbone, critics are praising the film for its emotional depth, family-driven narrative and powerful music: written and scored by none other than -

Braveheart was literally shot here!? 🤯

I wanted to share with you the rainy rehearsal day vs the Drummer Boy final film! 🎥

Seems so simple, right?? but getting the 50+ person crew on the side of the hill, steady cam operator dodging the holes in the ground and not falling off the side of the mountain. Even just walking, singing, staying in it as Jeremiah and Emmaline as they struggle through the adversity of the time.

Shout out to:

Co-Director: Ben Smallbone
Choreographer: Belinda Murphy
Cinematographer: Cathel Waters
First AD: Grantly Butters
Wardrobe: Nadine Powell
Hair: Joe Whelan
Makeup: Joanna McCarthy

Make sure you grab your tickets to see it on November 6! 🍿

Check out the official trailer to @homestead.series Season 2! Premiering November 3rd on @angel.

This was a huge undertaking and probably the most challenging project I’ve worked on to date. It stretched me in all the right ways and made me a better filmmaker and leader. I’m incredibly proud of the team behind the scenes and of what we achieved in such a short window of time.

Looking back at Homestead the movie and now Season 2, these past three years have been an extraordinary journey of self-discovery and one of the highlights of both my life and career. Another champagne moment I’ll never take for granted.

Thank you again to Ben Kasica, @bensmallbone @andrea__royer. Always a pleasure to team up with you guys and make something fun. 🚀🎥

One brother behind the camera, and two “brothers” beside me in front of it… 📽️

A rather special thing getting to tell this story alongside my real brother and my ‘Drummer Boy’ brother 👏🏽

Family affair… with a slightly complicated family tree 🥁🎬
