🚨Siiiiike. every line drawn by hand. ❤️🤘 i used to sit in class in middle school drawing board graphics in my notebooks, dreaming one day i’d see one of mine in a real shop. then i grew up and ended up working at @centralskateshopomaha. it never really felt like a job. it felt like family. like a second home. a place I could be myself. and then neal and laura asked me to design their shop board. i don’t even have words for what that means to me honestly. This shop means the world to me and I don’t know where I would be today without it. 🚨they’re available at central now ! to any kid drawing in their notebook rn, keep going. you never know where it ends up.🤝🤘❤️❤️❤️❤️ #omaha #skateboarding #skateboardart #supportyourlocalskateshop #handdrawn

For his next trick, @aleister_knight will be sawing a woman in half! That’s right! The the night before Halloween - and the 100 year anniversary of Houdini’s death - the veil is thin, the spirits are ready, and Benson Theatre’s resident mentalist has plans for you. This month, Aleister Knight is hosting a seance: an evening of mind reading, illusions, and moments with no reasonable explanation. Part parlor trick, part ghost story, all showmanship. Fair warning: audience participation is very much on the table. You may be asked to hold something, think of something, or sit very still while the room decides what it wants to do. The spirits are optional, but the goosebumps are not. Friday, October 30th | 7PM (doors at 6:30) Benson Theatre | 6054 Maple St. Tickets on sale now at bensontheatre.org Grab a seat, bring your bravest friend, and don’t bother keeping secrets. He already knows! . #seance #aleisterknight #bensontheatre

Giving & Gathering - A Very Cozy Curious Event: Sound Bath + Cacao Ceremony Wednesday, November 4 | Benson Theatre Doors at 5:30pm | $50 Tickets at BensonTheatre.org Think Friendsgiving, minus the cooking. Just gathering, a whole lot of gratitude, a warm cup, and a room full of good people. Come curious about who you are, who you’ll sit beside, and how you gather with your community. It’s no accident you’re here. There’s a reason, and we can’t wait to find out what it is. HOW THE NIGHT UNFOLDS A Curious Moment with Samantha Nieman We begin in silence. Sam guides a reverence circle where you connect with someone new through presence alone. Feel a connection? Trade mugs. No talking, just trust the process. Whose mug will you go home with? That’s the one you’ll sip your cacao from. Cacao Ceremony with Holly Baynes Holly, a nurse practitioner, hand-sources ceremonial-grade cacao from Peru and Brazil. She’ll walk you through what makes it different, then you sit with it. Sound Bath with Kendall Lanning Lie back, close your eyes, and let Kendall fill the room with sound while you do absolutely nothing. GOOD TO KNOW Bring: A mug you’re happy to give away (not Grandma’s favorite, you’re not getting it back! LOL) plus a yoga mat or blanket for the sound bath. Nice extras: small pillow, warm socks, eye mask, water bottle, journal. Experience? None needed. Sam, Holly, and Kendall guide every part. Come curious. That’s enough. Ceremonial cacao? The rawest form of chocolate. Single-origin, picked and processed by hand on small farms in Peru and Brazil. Warm, rich, and meant to be sipped slow. Can’t have cacao? It has theobromine and a little caffeine. If you’re pregnant, nursing, or on medication, check with your provider first. You’re still welcome to enjoy the rest of the night. Bring a friend? Please do! Each guest needs their own ticket, and there are only 80 seats, so grab yours together. Lie on the floor? Floor space is limited, so arrive early and optimistic. Theater seating is available for later arrivals or by choice. Refunds? All ticket sales are final. Questions before you buy? hello@samanthagoesthere.com . #soundbath #cacaoceremony #bensontheatre

Oregon-based filmmaker Brad Bischoff made the trip to Omaha for the 2026 Benson Film Festival. Not only did he take home the Benson’s Best award for his film, Mom and Dad Live in Different Houses, Brad left with a weekend of new connections and a lasting sense of belonging in the Benson Creative District. 📽️ “Can't express enough how amazing this festival experience was. The theater experience was outstanding (sound and vision), the crowds were packed and engaging with thoughtful discussions afterward, and the community gatherings were inspiring.” Thanks, Brad! We can't wait to get you back out here. 😃 Be like Brad and submit your film to the Benson Film Festival. ➡️ bensonfilmfest.com/submit #bensonfilmfest #bensoncreativedistrict #submityourfilm
