There’s something powerful that happens when space is made for creatives in our own city. For us, by us. This video is a small glimpse from my perspective of what it feels like to be fully seen and welcomed into a space rooted in love. What a beautiful way to conclude the exhibit “Respectfully, Not Waiting”.

From the community space at @creativegroundsdc , to the intentional art curation by @berchelrd and @see.oh.nah , and the incredible local artists highlighted throughout, we’re grateful to share florals within a fine art space where culture and community come together.

So much love to @hav_mercy for the nourishing meals, @grandcata for sponsoring the wine, and our girl Coco for generously sharing her time and support. Grateful to be in community, the best is always yet to come ♥️

2025 - Year of Growth. 📸

I truly feel 2025 was a big step forward in my career. I grew as an artist, made incredible connections, and it was definitely my most booked n’ busy year (is that what Gen-Z saying? Lol).

All glory to God, and can’t wait for 2026.

Here’s a few of my favorite shots of the year. 📸

It has officially been 10 days since the opening of FICTION at Toki Underground, and it remains one of the most surreal experiences of my life. I could not have predicted that so many people would care enough to show up—let alone connect, in their own ways, with the works in the collection. I feel an immense sense of gratitude for this, alongside an equally immense responsibility. The expectations have heightened. I like this. But I am also acutely aware of how important it is that these projects continue to propel the mission of Baltimore Art House, alongside Baltimore itself, without becoming a do-nothing spectacle.

I’ve been thinking deeply about how to honor this responsibility while staying grounded and experimental. I want these projects and events to be as impactful as they can be. That will take a great deal of experimentation and practice. They also need to be spectacular enough to initiate a positive loop between spectacle and narrative—forces that increasingly shape growth, attention, and belief in Baltimore. Our work goes hand-in-hand with the work of everyone here who is actively engaging with the issue of narrative. Baltimore Art House ought to become an industry leader encompassing all that is spectacle and narrative.

The most important lesson I learned post-opening is how essential it is to express oneself without fear. The courage to express one’s inner world is the first order of business when it comes to human connection.

One of my favorite quotes by Cioran goes something like this (I’m paraphrasing): “The deepest, most burning emotions are also the most universal.”

You never know who is listening. Someone is. Or some people are. And they are listening intently. Baltimore Art House must be a home for all forms of expression, with almost no restrictions whatsoever. The freedom to express one’s inner world remains god amongst all freedoms.

FICTION is expected to go on sale in early 2026. There will be a closing show—far more intimate than the opening.
My next project is already in motion. No release date yet.
