Who dun it?!? 🔍🕵️‍♀️ I’m deeply excited to partner with the indomitable @safibole to bring her wickedly funny, heightened, immersive and novel show “Ms. Maxwell Presents: The Murder Game” to NoHo! Sarah was one of the first to jump at the chance to use SWSENG to write something new. She took the reigns and made this script and story for her company in New York, @whatmaycomeimmersive, that blends the multi-layered dialogue that comes fluidly with Swseng-writing with Sarah’s own unique ability to craft immersive experiences for all kinds of audiences. Sarah is the immersive queen 👸The show so delicately makes the “high-brow” (a period mystery, with overlapping dialogue) into something anyone can enjoy. And that’s the testament of a great writer. I’m honored to direct the LA iteration of this play, and we hope it will go far - on both coasts! Our cast is amazing, and this is an exclusive event. Please DM me for a spot! *Secret NoHo Location* 📅Friday August 7 @ 7p 📅Saturday August 8 @ 7p [🎟️’s by invite only - DM me] #theater #immersive #losangeles #entertainment #explore

Our first critic has entered the hall, and the verdict is in. ⬇️ Ed Rampell of HollywoodProgressive.com was the first to experience CONVENTION, and his response affirmed what audiences have been telling us night after night: this play hits hard, feels urgent, and refuses to let history stay in the past… “CONVENTION is a highly unconventional theatrical immersive experience that thrusts the viewer into the nomination process and struggle to select FDR’s running mate in 1944. Historical figures such as the Roosevelt allies Secretary of Labor Frances Perkins and soon-to-be-congresswoman Helen Gahagan Douglas are reenacted as part of the large cast surrounding theatergoers, who are put into the action. CONVENTION does more than bring history vividly alive - as the moderate Democrats back Sen. Harry S. Truman and the liberal activist wing supports Henry Wallace to be nominated for vice president, the 2.5-ish hour, two act play also provides a lens to consider the current split in the Democratic Party, as the Chuck Schumer centrist faction battles the left-leaning AOC/Mamdani adherents. CONVENTION is an absolute must-see for political junkies and the more adventurous theatergoer. I cast my ballot for this showcase production to return in full to the stage! Ed Rampell, HOLLYWOODPROGRESSIVE.COM 55 actors. Total immersion. History colliding with the present. ⚠️ LAST WEEKEND. ONLY 3 SHOWS LEFT. Come experience this juggernaut before the gavel drops. 🇺🇸 TICKETS —> conventionplay.com/tickets 🎟 $48 (all fees included) 📅 Friday Dec 19 @ 8pm 📅 Saturday Dec 20 @ 3pm 📅 Sunday Dec 21 @ 3pm Directed by Danny Rocco Stage Managed by Winnie Lok Produced by Justin Brock Schantz #ConventionThePlay #1944 #AmericanHistory #HenryWallace #HarryTruman #FDR #Politics #AmericanPolitics #Election #PoliticalTheater #LATheater #LosAngelesTheater #Explore
