Following on from the great success of our inaugural golf tournament, today our Treasurer met with Vickie from @berkeleyhumane and donated $2600. This wouldn’t have been possible without everyone who took part and our sponsors!

this man is being sought after in oakland. his two cane corsos have been attacking people and their dogs in parks all over oakland and berkeley. no one knows who he is yet.

one dog was killed when the two dogs jumped two fences and attacked on a morning walk, and the man just walked away with his dogs. that was not the only one. another was mauled, another was left with punctures, another may have been killed, and women have been attacked or intimidated while their dogs were hurt. these incidents happened in an instant.

this is every pet owner’s worst nightmare. we need to find out who this man is before somebody else gets hurt or killed. if anybody can identify him, his truck is a white pickup with a dog crate in the back and a caution k-9 on board sticker on the window.

if you know who he is, call or text the tip line: 415-577-0126. you can also report to oakland animal services: 510-777-3333 for emergencies, 510-535-5602 for non-emergencies.

TONIGHT in BERKELEY: The Halloween Market is finally here! Find me @donkeyandgoat from 5-9PM. I have four of these bear ring hiders left, and won’t have more until 2027– come pick one out! They’re not only great for rings and other little jewelry, but also your daily vitamins, et cetera…

Vendor spotlight: @elisecypherart is our final vendor for the Halloween Market! About the artist:

Elise Cypher is an Oakland-based artist who shares her love of nature and science through her illustrations. Her work focuses on botanical illustration, infographics, educational comics, and maps.

She has a science illustration graduate certificate from CSU Monterey Bay, and she majored in Biology and minored in Art at the College of Creative Studies at UC Santa Barbara. She loves learning about the natural history of California, and has conducted fieldwork monitoring frogs, fish and plants. In her free time she likes to search for critters and do native plant restoration!

Find Elise and 20+ other local artists, life music, food, wine, and poetry tonight at @donkeyandgoat in West Berkeley!

We’re here from 5-9pm raising funds for @berkeleyhumane 🎃🐈‍⬛

100% of vendor fees are being donated and most vendors are also donating a percentage of profits from the market to our community’s cats & dogs as well!

We hope to see you this evening!! Costumes encouraged! 💖

Heck yes, Berkeley! The Halloween Market is almost here! Find me there with these cat prints AND some of the original paper cutouts (matted!), among so many other prints, cards, and ceramics. 10% of my profits will be going to @berkeleyhumane , so if there’s something you’ve had your eye on, this is the time!

Swipe through for a picture of Minna sitting in one of my paper drawers :)

Poetry readings at our Halloween Market will be done by members of the @societythealivepoets later in the evening!

The Alive Poets Society is an outdoor gathering designed to bring San Francisco’s diverse creatives together in local parks. From painting and crocheting to poetry and movie scripts -whatever your creative endeavor is, everyone is welcome.

We’re so excited to have them reading their original poems at our event and hope that you check them out! 💖
