Two nights aboard @orientexpresssailingyachts with @berkeleytravel sailing from Monaco to Marseille, and I’m still thinking about the details.

I was completely blown away by the craftsmanship on board. Over 2,000 artisans had a hand in creating this ship, and you feel it everywhere: the marquetry, the lighting, the fabrics, the smallest finishes you only notice on a second look.

Huge credit to the incredibly talented @maximedangeac, the interior architect and artistic director behind it, who has captured the romance of the original train and the golden age of ocean liners, with a completely modern feel.

A truly unique way to travel. I haven’t seen anything like it.

Out now in Forbes Kazakhstan - my take on why luxury travel has stopped being about where you go.

The conversation covered why clients increasingly build a trip around what they’ll actually do rather than the name on the hotel, how that’s reshaped the way we plan, and the routes I think will define the next decade.

Thanks to @taimagambetov and the @forbes_kz team for the thoughtful questions.

A first look. A rare opportunity. A powerful purpose.

We’re unveiling a selection of showstopping pieces from this year’s #amfARCannes auction, where beauty meets impact and every bid helps advance lifesaving biomedical research. Highlights include a set of screenprints by Andy Warhol, Chopard jewelry, an exclusive Athenian Riviera retreat from Berkeley Travel, and a bold sculpture by Philip Colbert. Just a glimpse of the long list of items that will be gaveled on that night!

Swipe to discover what awaits in Cannes. For information about auction items, email us at auction@amfar.org.

A night with a purpose to protect the wild forests 🌿

The Liberatum Cultural Honours — where culture, beauty and purpose come together.

This year’s honouree, Chief Raoni Metuktire, reminded us of what truly matters — protecting the Amazon and preserving nature for future generations.

What made this evening even more special is its charitable mission — raising awareness and supporting causes that truly matter.

Grateful to have witnessed such an inspiring night 🤍

@liberatum @liberatumfoundation @berkeleytravel thank you for such a beautiful event ✨
and @germanlarkin for stunning pictures 😍

Six months ago I stepped into the role as Group CEO at Vadella. It has been one of the most intense and rewarding periods of my career. Building something meaningful with great people demands focus and pace, and most of the time you are right in the middle of the waves. Decisions, meetings, acquisitions, integration, hiring and strategy…it is constant.

Over the past week I have been away by the ocean. I have still been working, reading decks, taking calls, thinking about the next phase of what we are building and chatting to the team about the coming months ahead. But being physically removed from the day to day changes your perspective in a way that is hard to replicate when you are in the middle of it all.

When you step back, even briefly, you start to see the horizon again.

You see which problems actually matter and which ones simply felt urgent in the moment. You reconnect with the longer term direction rather than the immediate noise and you return with clearer thinking about where you are taking the business and how you lead the people around you.

It is something I see constantly through Built for More as well. Many of the leaders I work with are operating at full pace. They are capable, driven and committed to the organisations they lead, but they rarely give themselves the space to zoom out and think properly.

Distance creates perspective. Perspective improves leadership.

This week has been a good reminder of that for me. Six months into the Vadella journey, I am even more excited about what lies ahead and the team we are building to deliver it.

Sometimes the most valuable thing a leader can do is step back for a moment so they can see further ahead.

Thank you to the amazing team at @berkeleytravel (Especially Michael, who has been amazing through the thick and thin of changing flights!) for making it all come together.

Back to it tomorrow.
