This is a man's issue. I am so sad for those who are hurt daily by our actions. I am also furious that we continue to uphold and protect those who cause so much pain and lifelong trauma.

My goal is to work towards creating spaces where the vulnerable feel safe and the abusers feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. This does not happen through force, power, or physical violence. This happens through accountability, uncomfortable conversations, and most of all, believing and repowering victims.

Please hold me accountable when I miss the mark. And men, please join me; we are stronger together.

It’s my birthdayyyy 🥹🎂✨

And before I say anything else, I have ONE little favor to ask you…

If you want to give me a birthday gift today, give me a memory. 💜

Tell me what you remember about the day we met. Tell me something we lived together. A trip, a ridiculous story, a moment when we laughed until our stomachs hurt, something I said that you still remember, something meaningful… or something completely stupid that still makes you laugh. 😂

I want to collect little pieces of my life through the eyes of the people who have been part of it.

Because this birthday feels different ✨

This year, I’m looking at the universe and at God and saying:

Show me how good it can get. ✨

I’m dropping the doubts, placing the bets, and opening my hands instead of holding everything so tightly 😋

God, I’m ready 💃🏻

I’m ready for the love, opportunities, people, experiences, adventures, peace, and all the beautiful things You have for me in this new year of my life.

More than anything, I’m grateful.

Grateful for my family, my friends, and the angels God placed in my path who helped me through the hardest chapter of my life.

I survived domestic violence. I had to leave Guatemala to save my life and start over from zero in a place that wasn’t home. There were moments when I didn’t know what my life would look like.

And yet… here I am 🙌🙌🙌

So if you ask me what my biggest birthday gift is?

I’m alive…🌅 And I will never take that for granted.

So here’s to another year of life, love, healing, ridiculous adventures, dancing, laughing way too loudly, trying new things, starting over whenever I need to… and finding out just how good life can get. ✨
Nowwww… back to my birthday present. 😂

Leave me a memory of us below. Funny, beautiful, embarrassing, random… I want ALL of them. 🥹👇🏼

And if memories aren’t really your thing and you’d prefer to contribute to the official “Bertlita Needs a Full Week at a Spa With Her Friends” Birthday Fund…Just let me know.

I’ll send you my Venmo. 😂😂😂💅🏼🧖🏻‍♀️🥂

Here’s to another trip around the sun. 🌞 ✨

You don't have to know exactly where you're going to keep moving forward. 🌿

Sometimes the hardest part isn't the next step.

It's everything we imagine could go wrong after it.

The unknown can feel scary. It can make us question ourselves, second-guess our choices, and convince us that we need to have the entire path figured out before we even begin.

But you don't.
Take the next step.
Then take another.
You don't need the whole map. You just need enough courage to keep walking.
There will be days when you feel confident and days when you feel completely lost.

Keep going.

There will be moments when you wonder if you're making the right choice.

Keep going.

There will be times when the finish line feels so far away that you can't even see it.

Keep going.

Because every step counts. Even the tiny ones. Even the messy ones. Even the ones that feel like you're barely moving at all.

You are building something.
You are becoming someone.

You are making it through things you once thought you couldn't.

And if nobody has told you lately:
We believe in you.
You are capable.
You are stronger than you think.
And you're going to get there.
One breath.
One choice.
One step at a time.

Don't let fear of the unknown convince you to stay somewhere you were never meant to remain.
Keep going.

You're going to win. We believe in you. 💛

Happy National Girlfriends Day 👯‍♀️ to me!! I am happy to be surrounded by these beautiful multifaceted women. The way how I can be myself around y’all makes my heart happy. They say, in life do more of what lights you up and with y’all the lights be exploding 😝. Can’t wait for more exciting times together but also tough times as well. #ebbsandflows #nationalgirlfriendday #womenempowerment #womeninbusiness #healing

That's right, we are opening our discounted Early Bird tickets to the public! Last week we let our insider e-mail list in on a little extra discount and now we are sharing it with all of YOU ❤️

We have 25 tickets at $275 - no code needed, just go onto our website and snag yours! This includes your accomodations AND meals for the weekend, plus ALL the fun and games we will have to offer!

Why buy a ticket now when it's so far away you ask?

1. Set yourself up to know that you will have something to look forward to! Something already built in the schedule so when the time comes, you come first and your to-do's can find their place outside of this prescheduled time.
2. Get the damn group chat out the chat and onto the field! This will give you and your friends time to plan, coordinate, and execute- with ticket already in hand
3. Time waits for no one, money doesn't either - getting your ticket now will save you money and time in the long wrong.
4. EVERYONE DESERVES TO GO TO SUMMER CAMP!
5. We want to see you and giggle and play and grow and connect ❤️❤️
...there are plenty more but here are just a few

When the World Cup fans decide the yogis need a cheer section. 📣🧘🏼‍♀️

Literal definition of “it’s giving zen, it’s giving chaos”—and the shavasana of a lifetime.
