Ahhh, what a week it was! 🫣

Now that we’ve finally caught our breath, we can look back and talk about the incredible opening we had on Thursday.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at Sandwich NeuroHope!

The energy was amazing, and the dialogue between the two shows came alive in the best possible way - from Bernat Daviu’s sharp, satirical interventions in „Pim Pam Pum!”, to the quiet, reflective, and poetic tension in Eduard Constantin’s work in “In the End We are so Fragile”. Here are a few glimpses capturing the warmth and buzz of that evening.

If you couldn’t make it to the opening or want to spend more time with the works in a quieter setting, we are now on regular visiting hours:

Wednesday – Friday
12:00 – 5:00 PM

📍 Sandwich Neurohope (Pechea 13, Bucharest)

See you there!❤️

Two exhibitions, two artists I spent the summer with at Watermelon Residency, and two very different ways of looking at the world we live in.
Two perspectives, one shared concern: the world we are making, and what it makes of us.

Join us tomorrow at Sandwich Neurohope for the opening of Pim Pam Pum! by Bernat Daviu @bernatdq and In the End We Are So Fragile by Eduard Constantin @edi_constantine .

📍 Pechea 13, 5th floor, Bucharest

VERNISSAGE - DOUBLE OPENING

Join us for the opening of „Pim Pam Pum!”, an exhibition by Bernat Daviu, hosted by Sandwich Neurohope.

With sharp irony, speed, and satirical bite reminiscent of newspaper cartoons, Bernat Daviu intervenes directly onto “exhausted” Romantic paintings rescued from flea markets and auction house margins. The tranquil skies crack wide open as unchecked ambition meets spectacular downfall: shuttles erupt mid-flight, debris showers remote pastoral villages, and powerful figures unravel in ridiculous scenarios.

Alongside the canvases, the Prototypes series transforms found toys into re-imagined objects of play, conflict, and transgression.

Painting isn’t dead - t’s mutating, detonating, and offering a mirror to our current moment.

Opening: Thursday, October 15, 2026

6:00 – 9:00 PM

Sandwich Neurohope - Pechea 13, Bucharest

Save the date, see you Thursday! ✨

Special thank you to @fondul_cultural_national and
@irllull for making this exhibition possible! 💓

🎥Spotlight✨
ART CENTRAL ROTTERDAM · JOEY RAMONE
@joey_ramone_rotterdam

Since 2012, JOEY RAMONE has been operating somewhere between a gallery, an artist-run space and an evolving platform for contemporary art.
Founded by Greek artist Kiki Petratou and Dutch collector Hans Bakker, the gallery describes itself as a “Half Artist-Run” Gallery — a position that allows it to move between different perspectives, practices and ways of working.
Its programme is deliberately multidisciplinary and cross-generational, bringing together artists from the Netherlands and beyond who work across a wide range of media and approaches.
From socio-political questions to cultural shifts, technological developments and the strange territories in between, JOEY RAMONE is interested in artists who look at the present from unexpected angles.

For Art Central Rotterdam, JOEY RAMONE opens its doors to the new season.

📍 JOEY RAMONE
Friday 11 September · 6–9pm
Saturday 12 & Sunday 13 September · 1–6pm

More to come on the artist and exhibition. 👀

This was not the kind of office you’re used to — @baselsocialclub wrapped its fifth, buzzing edition, transforming a vacant office building into a vibrant, vertical, stage for art, community and performance, turning the corporate grind on its head and lasting well into the night. Featuring more than 150 performances, installations, snack bars, musical interventions and countless DJ sets, as well as an exclusive fine dining format and the @ineverreadartbookfairbasel. The building was activated from the underground parking garage all the way up to the grey-carpeted, water-cooler-dotted interior.

This year’s theme questioned the former symbol of efficiency and growth hollowed out by digitalisation, remote work, AI and investigating productivity, boundaries, wellness and the culture of performance. With a strong focus on the experience economy and with the ability to reclaim agency in a volatile market, the fifth edition of this nomadic format highlighted our need for exchange, community, presence and meeting each other and the artwork in person.
